MLG helping with Multiplayer development?

In bsangel’s tweet, she talks to MLGMakin who asks her the possibly of some MLG pro gamers come in and help with the Multiplayer. Jess said that they have considered bringing in MLG guys to beta test and give feedback. I pray to God this happens, this is a great idea! Here’s the link, let’s hope this happens

Hope so. Im honestly not worried about halo 4 still. We still don’t have all the details and who knows what ranked games are going to be like. Drop pods are predictable and add more strategy to the game, push x to respawn isn’t on objective games, and it game settings are extremely customizable. So yea I hope for the best.

All that info I learned from the neogaff posts.

Well in the end MLG are just players, not absolute geniuses of competitive play so its not like their contribution will make this game 1000x more competitive. Hell if all their doing is beta testing there’s a good chance that most of their notes and suggestions won’t even make it in. Pretty much all this means to me is that we’ll get a slightly more polished version of what we we’re already going to get in the first place, not something ultra-competitive

Both 343 and MLG have stated there working together on Halo 4 SO i would assume there is some Work going on between each other

I hope so

Not that I want a halo 4 mlg game ---- but there input is from a completely different side then most the people at 343i and they can help make it more competitive and help give it a better Ranking system / Ranks …

I want all the playlists to be great – Not just MLG but its a start

My top 3 players to help would be Ogre 2, Tsquared and Walshy (even though he doesn’t play anymore).

Doesn’t look like its doing any good.

Where have you heard this. I know for fact that Adam Apicella (SVP at MLG) has said that as of right now there has been no involvement from MLG with 343i.

This would be excellent for the competitive side of halo. And for those who think it would ruin the lighter side of halo, I would guarantee that their opinions would not impact the whole game only a minor portion of it.

This could completely save Halo 4! =] =] =] =] =] =] =] =] I am happy =] =] =] =] =]

They are testing Weapon balance, Map control. I hope they test the armor abilities like the confirmed Forerunner vision (They should have just called it Infared)

OMG bringing in MLG beta testers is a brilliant idea and can really help make the multiplayer successfull.

Well thats not good :frowning:

I would rather have something competitive than a lot of the randomness that H:Reach has had.

I’ve played over 15,000 matches of Halo online MM and gave up last month - I’ve only played 3 matches in the last 30 days. I don’t get anything out of playing Reach anymore.

so excited

This could only work if MLG is willing to take some of the features at face value. This is whats in the game, deal with it.

If MLG comes in and says: “Player speed need increased, Jump needs increased, Camo needs longer or shorter. This or that needs a better notification. The BR needs less recoil. Sprint needs a longer charge, melee needs a longer delay.”

I would be okay with gameplay tweaks, however, a total over hall of the entirety of the game, based on their opinion is not what will make the game better. Feed back from everyone is what will. And just remember there is 2 more Halo’s if they don’t get it right this time pray they learn there lesion, or don’t buy the next, simple as that.

However I’m of the mind, Single player>Multiplayer any day.

Great, let’s bring these idiots now.

-Yoink- 343, I thought you were doing good, I guess not, and I thought you wanted it to be “your game”, pfft, -Yoinking!- pathetic.

I think it was last week’s update where they said they’d be holding special community play dates for additional testing and balance. Seems like this would be MLG’s best shot to dictate the game for everyone else they are infinitely superior to in every way.

Everybody is happy now? MLG can give their feedback.

They have one objective: to get a game that looks great on a stream, so they can hoover up more “casuals” to try and save their flagging profits from the competitive FPS scene. I believe theyve even implicitly stated this more than once.

Do you think thats a good position to be giving advice from? Do you think they are impartial?
