Has anyone heard anything regarding an MLG and or classic playlist?

I love vanilla Halo 4 and all but I really want to get into some fair, skill based games.

I haven’t heard anything about it, but I would prefer that we get neither. Anything with the MLG name is instantly hated by a large portion of the player base and trying to recreate the feel of an older game doesn’t work. I’d much rather them implement something like team hardcore.
Settings should be:

  • No join in progress
  • No sprint
  • No loadouts
  • No ordinance
  • No armor abilities
  • No perks
  • 3 second respawn
  • BR starts with magnum secondary and 1 frag
  • Default movement speed/jump height
    And it’s not likely but I would be ecstatic if they increased weapon despawn time to 45 seconds instead of the seemingly instant despawns we have now.

I agree with him except 2 frags like classic halo and like 1 second shorter frag grenade fuses

Vanilla reach has more luck determining the outcome of games than any other Halo in the history of this franchise. It also has the best shooting mechanics since Halo 1 which makes it the single biggest waste of potential of any Halo.

Fully agree. I want a classic playlist, exactly as described by
Buffdaddy Jamal it’d be the only playlist I’d ever play. It’d be good if there were different gametypes in the playlist like team BRs, and Classic slayer with AR starts, and Slayer pro which would be the same as the others just without the radar and a BR start. Weapons spawn on the map too, of course that’s implied by not having ordinance drops. I don’t think fans of classic Halo games would mind the removal of DMR either, I may be speaking just for myself, but I don’t really consider Reach or the DMR classic Halo.

I agree we need an MLG playlist, but not a copy of previous games. Let 343i become their own company, and not a shadow.

if you want to know whats happening with MLG then go to there forums because 343i doesn’t have control over it.

343 will always be a shadow. They developed a mediocre game so far that has terrible matchmaking abilities and indecisive leveling/ELO. Odds are they won’t incorporate an MLG ladder because it is too ballsy a move for them after having so much dislike intra-game. Why there is no 2s ladder, or why spartan ops/campaign give ranking points is beyond me and seems like this is nothing short of a family based game at this point considering campaign was the biggest joke storyline wise as well as difficulty wise. So far they are going to need MLG to step up and take over for them to make this game halfway decent and this all goes without me mentioning the XP cap
