Is that Halo: Reach on there?
wait… but… I thought MLG hated Halo: Reach…
but they still play it? why play a game thats so buggy broken and busted according to the competitive community?
Does this mean that when Halo 4 is released, people will play it regardless of the issues the competitves have with it?
my god…
what does this even mean…
mind blown
The sales will be the same people, threatening that MLG will drop Halo 4 is childish and an unsupported threat.
So now please try to be constructive when talking about sprint rather then whining about it. It’s going to stay, and you’re going to deal with it.
And yet this thread will not stop it.
Reach’s MLG:
AAs as pickups
Increased movement speed
Zero Bloom
Balanced Maps (almost all of them where forged by the community)
It’s barely Reach
Do you realize how close Reach was/is to getting dropped from the MLG circuit?
If it weren’t for the TU it would already be gone.
…oh, and they did deal with sprint. By removing it. Because it’s terrible.
Yeah please don’t talk about things you don’t understand.
The future of Halo Reach and MLG is not bright.
It is only going to be played at this one event as a test, and if it doesn’t succeed it is being taken off.
MLG in Halo Reach isn’t even remotely close to default Reach.
No bloom.
No sprint.
Some AAs as pick ups.
All custom maps that are vastly different to the default versions or completely new.
Much higher base movement traits.

So, now that your petty little argument has been squashed, would you care to try again?
Edit: sorry I misquoted
My argument is that even though you all complain about Reach, reach was tweakable to your liking and is still available in MLG. They will not cement sprint 100% into all game modes and they’ve already confirmed that. So what happened with Reach is to tweak a game to your liking. Halo 4 will have the same thing. There is no problem. You still have your minority playlist and the rest can enjoy some actual innovation in the series.
Argument still stands Reverance, thats cute though that you’re just recycling old arguments
>
They already confirmed there is no bloom, they’re rehauling the AA system to something you haven’t seen yet, and all maps are built from the ground up competitively and since you are playing as Spartan 4’s they said they’d be upping the speed.
So MLG will be much closer to the default thing, less work for you, more fun for the other 85% of consumers

I don’t think he even used an argument, so how has he recycled anything?
The point is that MLG almost dropped Reach, because it wasn’t making them money. The MLG settings on Reach play nothing like default, everything moves a lot faster, and there is a lot less randomness. As for Halo 4, if it comes out buggy/filled with crap, then who cares what MLG does, because I won’t be buying it, and neither should you. If it’s a good competitive game, then MLG will pick it up.
That’s how it works buddy.

I believe they have only sold half of all of the team passes for Columbus as well, which is not very good. Thanks a lot, Bungie et al.
I bought Reach and still play it
you bought Reach and still play it (if your gamertag matches your username)
SatansReverence still plays Reach (according to his stats)
I BIG WOODY I still plays Reach (according to his stats)
l RyanW l still plays Reach (according to his stats)
Are you kidding me?
All you guys still play Reach and have played it within the last week?
And you say that Reach was dropped by competitive players?
Jeez, this is kind of embarrassing.
For a group of people so adamant about what Reach did wrong and how MLG Reach will get dropped you sure like to play Reach a lot.
/Topic
Just because we still play it does not mean it is good.
I don’t think I’ve played within the last week. Regardless, I continue to play Reach because I enjoy the TU settings, certainly more than default. I would love to be searching MLG, but, being in Australia, I can’t find games in the playlist. Most of the competitive MM players have actually dropped Reach, with the ones left all known to each other by name. On the Pro side of things, most of those guys only play customs, because that’s their job.
> … some actual innovation in the series.
LMAO, Really? which innovations?
> Just because we still play it does not mean it is good.
No, but it means you still buy and still play it. Which is my point. If you’re satisfied enough to play it who says you wont be satisfied enough to continuously play the next? a lot of competitive arguments are that if the game is tailored more to competitive then the casuals will still come, but Reach was tailored more towards the casual and apparently all the competitives, the same people arguing this, still come.
That’s just awkward and it proves my point while also invalidates a lot of your points considering they can now be labeled under hypocrisy.

For something you people so passionately hate and believed ruined the Halo franchise that you still play it just shows a lot. And you seem like a genuinely nice person but thats a poor excuse to play a game that is revered as the worst ever. And it said you played on the 7th so yeah it was this week. Its just ridiculous that you guys bash the game so much and say you’ll sell it if its bad when you still play the current one. Halo 4 is toning down all the things that Reach did wrong, so if you can deal with playing Reach right now, I’m sure you can deal with playing Halo 4

Ok, then how about you just file all of their points under my name. I haven’t played Reach MP in close to a year. There you go, hypocrisy dismissed. Points validated.

Nice work ignoring perks, loadouts and randomised weapon timers.

Tell me, how much Reach do I play now as opposed to a few months ago.
Hell, even though I played Halo 3 on dial-up and Reach on a proper connection, I still played more Halo 3 than Reach.
I honestly cannot believe that people would deride a game developer for not catering their game towards a small group of professional gamers. MLG looks for games that suit its purpose; if Halo 4 doesn’t, then they’ll eliminate it from their roster. I don’t see the problem.

gadgets to increase mobility counts, this new armor system and progress system which we haven’t seen yet sound interesting, loadouts that are much more customizable. If these didn’t exist I’d just be buying Halo 3 again.
