the iron sites that aren’t of any use, the chunky front with the small back, the handle guard, the way the spartan holds it. it feels unique enough to not feel like an run of the mill, average side arm.

You should consider why these things are the way they are. The chunky front is a smart link scope. Without it, it has a front sight. The handguard, yeah, sure. That’s unique. The way a Spartan holds it is… Normal. IDK what you mean by that.

they could’ve put effort into making it feel like an actual halo gun, giving it needed flare. i mean, why not? clearly it was important enough to them to make an entirely new gun instead of updating an pre-existing gun. but no, they just half baked it. made it lacking in any form of personality…

Well they added the light/laser to the bottom thanks to feedback. But it doesn’t lack personality. It’s a basic but reliable 10mm sidearm. I love it. I’m happy we have it.

But go look at the Halo 5 Magnum. Then check out the Gunfighter.

Not gonna lie, the sidekick does look a little far from what a halo pistol would typically look like. To be fair though, the one human pistols we’ve seen in game are magnums.

The Halo CE Magnum is not the only one we should ask for I want the Halo CE Magnum back as well as the Shotgun that can hold 12 rounds and that you can carry 60 extra for and with it’s f damage state from the first game next is the Plasma Pistol that did not drain when holding a charge shot that only drained one energy every five standard shots as well as it’s damaged stats from the first game the third one is the Plasma Rifle in Halo CE I want it to return with the ammo it had as well as the stun effect

If they make the Sidekick even weaker, there needs to be a BR, DMR, Carbine or Magnum on every 100 square feet of every map.

Can you imagine going into a game with a boring AR and a weak Sidekick? Especially in BTB? There will be traffic jams at every BR spawn point. Which in regular quickplay is 1 spot or at most 2 spots.

Just take the Sidekick out of the starting weapon lineup. Make every player spawn with a BR + AR in regular game modes.

Make the Sidekick MORE powerful and make it a pickup weapon. Problem solved.

I can see what you mean. However i disagree by making the sidekick more powerful. As most ppl are saying to take away the sights for the sidekick will lessen it lethality. I completely agree with it along with taking away its lethality against sheilds to prevent its equation in most situations.

The way i see it, you should be using your “boring” AR as a primary then using the sidekick to finish them off. The AR should be the one to obliterate shields and use the sidekick after. The sidekick shouldnt be beating the AR at all. Like some have said its a 10mm not a 50cal (thank you who ever cleared that up). Even more ro the reason why it shouldn’t be as lethal. There for the sidekick shouldnt come close to the same as of damage overall.

You should be going and seeking power weapons! There should be no reason for you to feel 100% comfortable with your starting set up, most importantly you shouldnt feel 100% conformable with a starting secondary sidearm at all. It has its set role to be draw when all else fails or to clean your opponent up. Not an immediate strategy because you know in your heart it works.

Yes it’ll be less lethal if 343 were to nerf it, but it would force the majority of people that view it as a primary to go seek better weapons. And if they get to that essential weapon first its ok to be a grunt with a “boring” AR. Go to that objective, capture that flag, Secure that zone.

I do agree with you on behalf of other weapons like the DMR, and Magnum that can counter the sidekick and many others, there needs to be more solutions to an abundance of problems and it would definitely help.
