So last time we saw Chief take of his helmet (CE), in the next game he got a brand new Mk VI armor set. Is 343 prepping the Chief for a new outfit? Or will they keep the Mk VI?
Context buddy.
In all honesty he was likely removing the armor to step down. After Cortana’s passing he quickly realizes he was acting like little more then a machine.
The Master Chief is probably ready to trade his ‘machine’ for ‘man’. I bet by the start of the next game he is either working as an adviser for the new Spartan program or is on some other calmer job.
The above post… LMAO…
He could be getting new armor, no one knows for sure yet either way,

The Reclaimer trilogy is about Master Chief. He is still going to be a Spartan in Halo 5 and 6.
Seeing as how Spartan IV’s still wear what is technically Mark VI armor, just heavily customized for different things, I doubt Master Chief will be getting new armor.
I think having MK VII armour on would be cool, but it’d be even better if he strolled around with no helmet on like the Spartan VIs.
4 years is a long time to wear armor that weighs as much as it does, even with the cybernetic enhancements Spartans have.
I highly doubt Chief will step down for more than a cutscene in the next Halo. This is the Reclaimer Trilogy and removing Master Chief in the first act would be a major misstep.
I mean…I’m sure whatever the Librarian did, did more than just protect him from the Composer…

Might wanna put a spoiler tag on that.

i doubt that’s likely…i mean the main subtext of the new trilogy is about the chief finding out more and more about his humanity. in fact 343 basically implied that he’s going to be the protagonist for halo 5 and 6, AND he’s going to be in Spartan ops. So yeah…he’s not done…not yet anyway.
He may keep his armor for sentimental reasons like Kurt “Ambrose” did in Ghosts of Onyx and get new armor. However, considering all the resources hat the Infinity has, MC will probably get some upgrades. I don’t think that his color pallate will change too much or the shape of his helmet, that way he will stand apart and will keep the Master Chief look.
I do wish that the first mission was the original Mark 6 armour, but it got damaged and the Chief had to upgrade on board the infinity.
He’ll be getting new armor. What’s her name from the Karen Traviss novels was sporting the Mk VII. To be honest I was a little sad he didn’t get new armor in this one. But there are two more games to go. Time will rwll.
Im going to guess he will
