So we finally have an image of the DECIMATOR armor variant, with this image along side the image shown on the cover of The Thursday War shows that the Mark VII armor just looks like the Mark V from Halo Reach, in my personal opinion i was hoping that this wouldn’t be, i’m kind of disappointed how they have just re-used previous armor rather than building up from the Mark VI from either the original trilogy or the latest verson (reclaimer saga). and the Mark VII is meant to “theoretically” have slipspace de-insertion capabilities. and with the armor physically having less hardware shown on it, it makes me think otherwise, unless it has integrated Forerunner technology in it, i have no idea how this thing is meant to survive a slipspace de-insertion.
Anyways that’s the end to my little rant of an opinion. what does everyone else think?

Pretty much confirmed. Though still looks a little funky, but that’s a common complaint I have with the GEN2 line.

You guys do realize that the MK VII armor had nanomachines in its armor to cause it to change shape at will of the user. And the only reason the Mark VII looked the way it did is because Niomi decided to make it look that way, basing some of the design off the Mark V armor
I wish 343 was not money greedy and gave us armor,the closest thing we got is a mark VI helmet (NOT Mark VI GEN1) and reaper armor

Oh goth, the nano-machines explanation. Can we please retcon this piece of yoink explanation? Honestly, I despise it with a passion! It’s so lazy and put there just to explain something that really doesn’t need more explanation than “redesign” quite frankly.
