What you guys think is the Standard Gen 2 armor for S-IV?
Like S-II have base Mark IV, V and VI
S-III have SPI
So what’s standard issue for S-IV? RECRUIT? WARRIOR? SOLDIER?
What you guys think?
Standard issue is RECRUIT-class until the Spartan has become accustomed to their augmentations and decided on a specialization.
WARRIOR-class is considered the “mainline” set for second-generation MJOLNIR, whatever that means.

Still, WARRIOR is called the mainline armor, what’s up with that?

It is apparently the most commonly used set of GEN2 armor (in-universe), so that might be the reason why it’s considered the mainline set.
the first armor at least seems to be the RECRUIT though after some time they seem to get armor that fits their combat styles better.
