MJOLNIR GEN2 HUNTER variant

Ok, so now we know that Agent Lockes’ armor is the Hunter Variant, but is it a playable armor? Can we use it? What do you all think??

I like the look of Lockes armor, its very stream line and rounded and the armor looks much “thicker” and more protective then other in the Gen II line.

As long as it’s hard to get.

I hope they go back to the system of having to complete achievements to unlock armor.

I remember the good ole days of halo 1-3… I miss them but i love where it is going. It looks great so lets keep hoping!

WHy? why? does this matter Sure make achievements and certain armor hard to get. But it often becomes ridiculous and only promotesd Boosting to gain armor. I hated that aspect of halo 3
“who wants to cheese armors”
HATED it, it was one thing for Rouge armor and flaming helmets. But the SP progression is much better it allows those who put time and effort into playing to unlock said armors,

So not everyone is prancing around with an awesome set of armor. I love having to work for armor with achievements. If it’s easy to get, it wont be special anymore.

Achievements should be difficult regardless because they are just that, achievements.

if its campaign only achievements i can live with it, but if its online multiplayer achievements then no because it produces alot of players only playing for the achievements and not trying to win there for hurting everyones matchmaking experience.

What? and Not just let players that play for weeks worth of in game play not get the armors just because there is that one stupid achievements just out of their reach while others are just playing against there friends killing each other and boosting to get the achievements. That doesn’t give any one a feeling of accomplishment, So what if there are multiple players who have Bad -Yoink- armor? What wrong to have to play a total of 1 weeks worth of hours to get armor. This proves the dedicated fans from those who just cheese achievements.

I would be ok with this This makes since people work hard on campaign achievements, But multiplayer achievements just amount to large groups of friend taking over matchmaking and cheesing the whole time which is not fun its not hard work, and it sucks dealing with that.

No. I do not want every single person in MM using the best looking armor because it is easy to get. All 343 has to do is make things less boost-able. All they have to do is restrict the amount of players who can join a certain playlist so they don’t take up spots on the other team. However if your coordinated team is good enough to protect you against enemy players, you deserve a hard to get armor for good teamwork, it is not cheesing.

If I get a perfection fair and square I deserve recognition. Either that be an achievement that unlocks or a commendation, if one of these unlocks armor so be it. Same with campaign, if I complete slaso, I deserve recognition.

Sure, some easy achievements that unlock armor would be cool, but the top tier armors should be hard to get. Participation trophies suck. Halo 3 had this down pretty good.

honestly i feel if someones just doing it for the recognition thats what the achievement itself is there for, to show that you did whatever the task associated was. and with your example it still shows how online multiplayer achievements change the way the game is played, instead of focusing soley on winning your teammates are now also trying to make sure you stay alive the entire round. i find online multiplayer achievement detrimental to gaming and kinda hope companies stop adding them even though i know its unlikely.

If Locke’s armour is ever to become campaign unlockable it shoud be: Complete campaign solo legendary all sculls on, complete at least one level without dying.

Try that!

there is Virtually No way to Prevent boosting from happening except remove the reason for boosting. Which i agree is never going to happen, nor should be fully removed.
How is playing the game constanly Easy. it gives player incentive to stick with the game promoting inhancing the player population. IM not saying that you should be prevented from be a good player but i think armors being tied to Achievements does nothing but harm the game in the long run. It a different story if is tied to Campaign.

Sure get and achievement for playing well get medals, heck get some form of incentive but armors should not be a part of that. Unless its something specific like Rogue or Flaming helmet, but the achievement should be for doing thing that are mid level difficulty, and require multiple, not extremely hard one which just promote Cheesing.

And it just seems better to reward player who play alot over player quickly trying to get achievement then stop playing because they got that one armor from cheesing the achievements.

Halo 3 was terrible when is came to armor I remember so many matched turned into a total cluster -Yoink- of cheesing achievement constantly till every one had the armors(except Rogue, the fire helmet) but even those achievement were ridiculously hard to obtain or come down just dumb luck.

I think armor showing you’ve played a -Yoink- load of halo is better then getting 5 over kills one match.

Maybe but i dont think Lockes armor should be that difficult

Maybe this “best armor” looks are kind of subjective, considering people like different armor. I’m not fond of his armor at all lol. You guys can keep it, nor would I care if people were all in it. As long as I have my suit of armor idc who else has it. I only care about my looks. Idc how everyone else around me looks.

I am a massive fan of the design. Look at the shape of the shoulders, next to a halo 3 and 4 chief. This feels to me like the mkvi armor I would have liked chief to wear instead of the clunk fest he got in halo 4. It’s also really smooth and has angular sections, without way over detailed bits like in halo 4. It feels like they looked back at bungie’s design philosophy when creating this, I hope the same is true for forerunner structures. They weren’t just grey and shiny, -Yoink!-!

I would love for the armor to be hard to get through campaign, with unlocking armor with Online multiplayer yea but not this variant. Boosting is a hard thing to take care of but not impossible.
