Dude it’s just default armour, there is nothing to worry about, you will be able to change your look later on in the game. And quite dramatically by the sound of things.
I know they don’t have Shi Kai Wang around to make everything awesome, but they don’t even pretend to try and respect the original designs. Mjolnir is a simple design composed of circles and squares.
Plus they don’t seem to have a technical filtering process. They just draw something and think yeah that’s good enough in the game that goes.

The armor still has unlockable permutations …mark 6 might even be unlockable
But it still looks solid and heavy. I honestly like this new look more; It’s sleeker, curvier and more form fitting to the Spartans. It looks like a sci-fi game, and I love the -Yoink- out of it.
Seeing as how the armour that the Spartan IVs wear in multiplayer is a lightweight variant of MJOLNIR armour, it definitely should look light rather than be bulky and heavy-looking.
Although it took a bit of time for me to get used to the helmet, I’m really loving the armour worn by the Spartan-IVs.
If you’re talking about Master Chief’s armour, it just looks plain awesome.
Modifying my spartan is a plus but other then looking at it on the screen before a match I really don’t at all. I really don’t care about armor because it really matters the least when it comes to things I want 343i to be doing for the game.

The same could be said about the Halo 2 armour compared to the Halo 1 armour. It looks very much like Master Chief’s armour to me and most people around.
