I just realized some of the best missions in Spartan Ops came from using vehicles. I really enjoyed the vehicles and the new Covenant Mortar. I also like that we are finally seeing more uses of Spartan 4s! It was to the point it takes away from the maps being reused.
In all honesty my favorite moment in Episode 8 was seeing Serin Osman, for a quick moment I almost thought it was Margaret Parangosky, until they said the name. I wasn’t really satisfied with the way Gek was killed either, it was interesting but that Deus Ex Machina style death just didn’t satisfy.
All in all I find this episode alright, the vehicles really redeemed what I thought was going to be a lackluster experience. All in all this is my opinion what do you guys feel?
-Yoink- put a -Yoinking!- spoiler alert on this.
r.i.p. Gek

seriously? why would anyone click on episode 8 feelings, if you havnt done it yet, surely its common sence as a spoiler alert in the title? xD
I especially liked the final mission, and the way that they are using more Spartan IVs. The fate of Fireteam Swtichback was a bit, well, mediocre.
But I am very satisfied with this episode. Things are on the up it seems.

i’m having a lot of trouble understanding what you are trying to say to me…
EDIT: nvm, i figured it out. it took me a while. your sentence structure is AWFUL. it may be common sense to you and me, but to many others, common sense doesn’t exist
In all honesty I don’t know how to put the spoiler alert thingy. I was shocked Gek didn’t get enough shine though.
I’m surprised that blight Palmer still lives, when will she die…
> In all honesty I don’t know how to put the spoiler alert thingy. I was shocked Gek didn’t get enough shine though.
Oh it doesn’t have to be coded. All you gotta do is put the word spoiler in your title. Sorry for being so hard on you in my first post
I hate the cliffhangers on these episodes.
Palmer isn’t going anywhere soon. I think something terrible will finally happen when she puts on a helmet.
I thought the actual CGI episode itself was excellent although I feel as though 343i went backwards in terms of the quality of the chapters which was disappointing, however I’m felt as though they weren’t -too- bad but alas I was disappointed.
Personally I believe (should they keep Spartan Ops in Halo 5, and I hope they do) that they’ll make absolutely incredible improvements to it as they’ll learn, just as with everything else, what the community genuinely wants in terms of gameplay.
Although people will disagree with me, I want RPG elements such as choice and more personal characters to play a role in Spartans Ops. We’ve Co-Op Campaign for Master Chief’s silent shooting so I’d like to see it more fleshed out, making your character that you develop through Spartan Ops and War Games actually come alive. Through player choices, voice acting and possibly other things.

Go play Mass Eff…BAH I mean Red Blue Green…
Who knows maybe 343 will out Bioware Bioware and make a good RPG sometime. Somebody is bound too…cant be too hard at this point

I wasn’t asking for an RPG, merely RPG elements in order to enhance my connection with this character I’m supposedly developing and enhancing.
What they are doing with Serin Osman is a crushing disappointment. 343i seem content with making her a Parangoksy clone and have her be a dark, villainous character heading ONI just like Paragoksy was WITH her Halsey hate fully passed down.

Well in the books Osman was the closest thing to a daughter to Margaret so it makes sense why she’s so dark. Then as to quote Benti from the Mona Lisa “Nothing good ever comes from ONI”

What character? You suppose a lot for Firefight 2.0.

Well the books were sort of hinting at her becoming her own women, but boy 343i loved to crush that dream.
New Covenant mortar?!
And how many Spartan IVs are there total?
I haven’t played Episode 8 but I don’t mind spoilers.

Yeah on Mission 2 you have to help Fireteam Majestic to destroy Covenant Mortars, they launch 2Plasma Orbs that act like huge stickies then explode. It all depends on the mission on how many Spartan IV’s assist but from what I’m seeing in Mission 3 there were about 3 for each Warthog.
On Mission 4 there about 7 Spartan IV’s in total. 3 in the beginning and 4 towards the end.

Guess the Covies are going to get plenty of triple kills eh? What do they do if you shove them out and drive away with the Hog?
Do the 3 Spartans follow you to the end to link up with the 4?
