Mission Victories now stay if you lose

IMO, I’m fine with this change, because whenever I use one, I get disconnected. What do you think?

Im fine with it, I don’t suffer disconnects too often, but the few times I did there were moments were I was using my favorite victory - the purple one that gives RP instead of XP. That definately did suck, especially when your winning lol

I am strongly against this change. Mission Victories encouraged team-based gameplay so that a win would be viable. Upon losses, a feeling of sickness would creep over me, knowing I just wasted my boost. However, upon wins, I felt a greater form of accomplishment than any other previous wins because I knew how bad it felt to lose. All in all, all I’m saying is: without the ability to fail, there is no motivation to succeed.

343 took away our ability to fail. Now that super-close nail-biting 49-50 loss you just gambled your Ultra Rare Mission Victory on isn’t going to be as bad of a boo-boo, because 343 gave you a virtual band-aid so you won’t lose your boost.

You’re missing the point. 343 did this because if you disconnect (to game you quit the match) the boost would leave.

I agree with this.

I feel like if you get disconnected well okay you get it back. But if you lose, it should be gone

I realize that some people are being disconnected, and yeah, that sucks. So give it back to them when they get disconnected, I don’t really care. I do care when 343 changes the game because of a small minority of people getting their feelings hurt over a boost card, and completely destroy all incentive the boost held before, and basically the whole purpose of the boost’s existence.

I didn’t even know they made this change. I guess I should change my habits, and not be so guarded about playing those cards anymore.

It’s no difference to me honestly.

Alot of people here are saying if you disconnect you should get it back, and if you lose legitimately it should go away.

But the problem here is I don’t think the game can distinguish the difference between the two. It could then be exploited by disconnecting your internet if you were about to lose. This is the same reason disconnects can cause bans. People would abuse it in the same manner, quit all the time and never get banned.

I guess it’s good but it’s kinda lame… just remove the mission victory reqs and make them jackpots if you don’t have to fulfill the requirement.

What do I THINK?! I think this is fantastic! Oh God, thank you - these sons of -Yoinks!- caused me nothing but stress and 2/3’s of the ones I failed, I was either 343i’ed (cheated out of), left with half a team, teammates use nothing but vanilla loadouts all game, or I was dropped in a JIP. The other 1/3 were just straight losses, so yeah, but this is still a great change. I always figured since it’s not even a “Gambit” boost, they shouldn’t disappear… And now I would like to have my wasted boosts returned, retroactively, please. By end of business Friday, if you would. Hundreds of them.

It’s a good move to retain current players who have be discouraged when losing. You win some, you lose some, this move is a winner for losers.

i think they should focus on the servers tbh

The rewards are so petty anyway that I’m fine with the change. Who cares if I get to re-use a boost that grants like 1k XP or RP. Some are more, but nothing to stress over imo.
