Mission: The Breaking

Even till this day that mission is complete BS. 343 thinking how can we make the game for -Yoink-. Let’s put 3 Wardens at the same time. Lol.

mod edit: moved to Halo 5 Guardians

Yhea thats one of most difficult part of the game is really hard to beat this 3 guys by yourself

I played like 3 missions of the campaign but didn’t continue. Probably because I wanted to be Master Chief and not Locke, and because from the first mission I got bored to death. I guess I never made it to this particular mission you are talking about :frowning: but it sounds difficult.

It’s possible to skip the 3 Wardens, just FYI. If you wanna go that route. Look it up on YouTube, there are guides showing you how to do it.

Not the hardest level in Halo, seeing as though you can skip those 3…

You can even skip the reunion one as well…

Three wardens is nothing mate. In legendary that was so easy + you can skip it.

This mission suffers the most from level design and this is also where unfair enemy balancing really shines.

For the 3 Wardens Fight, yes it’s hard but don’t treat it like it’s the bane of your existence. Arm all of your squadmates with incineration cannons, if they don’t have it, there’s two cannons before you head into the room after you killed the knights, hopefully you should have a cannon of your own, a binary rifle and splinter grenades. In the room, stay behind one of the pillars and spam ‘go there’ command to ensure the squad stays as well. Try and bait one warden to attack and command the squad to focus fire and lay into him, save thruster for when Warden swings his sword or uses his ‘laser eyes’ attack, use the pillar to hide from the warden’s ‘floaty orb’ attack. If you can get behind the warden to attack then that’s a bonus. Rinse and repeat for the other two wardens (you get a checkpoint for each warden you kill), there are two incin. cannons (one on each side of the room) if your own cannon runs out and when you run out of binary rifle ammo, grab a suppressor. When the turrets spawn on the third warden, ignore the turrets, use the pillars for cover and focus fire the 3rd warden down anyway (when he dies, the turrets despawn). This strategy is effective on Legendary though it is very monotonous and boring. Also I know you can skip the fight but for me, the fight is sorta easy enough for me that I don’t need to skip it.

i mostly find it annoying because we had to fight the same boss like 6 times. Actually being able to kill Jul Mdama in gameplay or a grunt mech etc would have made nice additions to the campaign and it would helped it from feeling as repetitive

Play Halo 2 on Legendary by yourself. This will look like a piece of cake compared.

I once soloed a Mythic Warden (because there were 10 seconds and my whole team died) and I can say that it was a lot easier than the Breaking in it’s entirety.

You know you can skip them right? If you prefer to fight them, then you should be patience and attack when they split. A checkpoint will be granted for each one, just make sure that you stay safe.

About 6/8ths of its health was left and I did defeat it. After doing so I felt greatly accomplished lol. Not that hard when you have a Selenes’ Lance and a clear view at the Warden’s backside.
