I have completed a Halo Reach campaign mission in legendary, but it is showing that I’ve only completed it once in normal. This is the third time this is happened, so I’m really at my wits’ end. I have had to redo two other missions twice now to make the legendary unlocks show up and I don’t want to do it again. TPoA is the hardest mission of the game and it took me hours to beat. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve tried reinstalling my game, validating the files, disabling steam cloud sync, updating the host file, and more.
There’s no reason I shouldn’t be getting the unlock and achievement. No skulls are on, the anti-cheat is on, I was able to get the legendary datapad achievement, so the game should recognize that I’m playing in legendary. What am I supposed to do at this point? I really don’t want to reply this mission.
Well here’s some good news! I checked your service record on this website, and it appears you already have. All Halo Reach levels are labeled Legendary Completed. So the game is tracking something.
But you haven’t gotten the achievement yet, have you?

Basically, I haven’t gotten the achievement, and on the campaign menu screen it still only shows up as completed on normal difficulty.
Dang that’s odd. I’ve searched a bit, and it seems as though there is a lot of buzz going on about achievements not working.
When/if this gets fixed, I wouldn’t stress yourself about having to redo your progress. If the website says you’ve done it, then you should automatically receive them when the bug fix update drops.
I am 80% sure that’s how it’ll work. You may chastise me if I’m wrong.

Where exactly does it say on the website that I’ve completed it in legendary? It shows up as normal for me.
Oh weird. I checked again and it now shows what you showed me. That’s very odd.
There’s clearly something wrong with the game scanning this stuff. A LOT of people are experiencing this very same bug, as well as this website being dodgy with information syncing. My only advice is to wait this out until some patch comes along.
I’m upset for you, dude. I’d hate it if this happened to me.
I also see that TPoA shows only completed as normal on your service record. Sometimes achievements pop later than intended, tho I don’t know if it’s also the case on PC. Some achievements are reportedly bugged, like According To Plan, just for an example. Either way, I know you might not want to go through that again, but doing the mission again is all I can advise. I know, its frustrating, but there isn’t much else you can directly do. Maybe try more times, but if the achievement still doesn’t pop, then its safe to assume its bugged until 343 decides to fix that.
