How the heck do you solo this mission on legendary? It’s so brutal even with player buff skulls on. The enemy leader powers destroy my entire force every time. I can’t even get to the second kodiak drop off. Any suggestions?
Yeah, glassing beams will rip you to pieces if you let them. You have to split your army and accept that some of your units will die to it. If you’re playing on console it will be harder but you have to. Maybe use control groups.
You could also try to bait the beam with cheap units. Try to act with haste, since after the beam is used, it has a significant cool down. You’d do well to learn the cool down time. That’s your time to make, ‘progress’. That mission is actually brutal if you’re going for gold on legendary, but if you’re only goal is to beat it, then if you do those two things, it shouldn’t be that bad. Hope that helps. 
Imo, this is the hardest level on legendary by quite a bit. Split units is key, capture every mini base.
what makes it worse is I’ve had Alice bug here where she cannot move.
