I cannot complete campaign because Mission 5 makes the game freeze up. Sometimes just the visuals freeze up but I can still hear the audio still going. I cannot even open up the game menu. Other times the entire game freezes up and I have to close the game from Xbox home. My game is fully updated and my console is fully updated. I have asked Halo Support about this issue for several months but there is still no solution. Is anyone else unable to complete campaign because of the game freezing up in Mission 5? Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Is campaign bug fixing completely abandoned in favor of multiplayer updates?

Mission 5 is the dig site, yes? Where about’s is it freezing for you? Which Xbox platform are you playing on? Have you tried clearing your cache? Clean installing the game? Worst case, deleting your save data and starting fresh?
I’ve played through the Campaign 5 times since launch on an Xbox One X and Xbox Series X respectively, and I’ve had no game breaking issues like what you described.
Not heard of this before, I’m playing on series s and done campaign from start to Finnish about 10 times since launch and never come across your problem, maybe a hard reset might help?

Original Xbox One. Can’t afford new ones. Tried uninstalling, full factory reset, other consoles (also Xbox One), other accounts, digital and disc, still Mission 5 crashes and freezes.
I’m not sure, though I don’t know anyone else who’s playing the game on an original Xbox One. It’s certainly possible that it’s a platform specific bug.
The best I can recommend is to keep reaching out to Support. Provide as much detail and info as you can.
