Mission 2 blue team

When blue team was floating through space towards the ship, they were firing their weapons to break the glass.

How are they not getting propelled backwards?

Are the Spartans moving really fast?

Are the Spartans really heavy and the gunfire doesn’t do anything to them? If that’s the case then why does recoil still affect them?

Their thrusters and momentum can overcome the recoil easily.

Shhh! Don’t spoil the moment with physics questions!

Or, any form of math if that’s not the right kind.

Thrusters, y’all.
Good question though. Totally reminded me of an episode of Cowboy Bebop, when Spike propelled himself in z-G (or was it the vacuum of space?) with his pistol. Awesome nonetheless.

Even without thrusters I think it would take more than a few spent rounds to slow down a half-ton Spartan moving at 20 or 30 mph.

with their mass(i believe half a ton) bullets shouldnt stop it too bad going at speeds with thrusters. otherwise they couldn’t use the weapon in the first place to begin with, right?

Also video games aren’t really relevant with things we know to be true in the physics world.

In GTA San Andreas, whilst driving a Rhino tank, you could shoot backwards from the direction you were driving in and easily quadruple your speed.

The more you know!

You going to tell a Spartan the are breaking physics?

What about Linda? Nornfang is a pretty powerful weapon

.50 w/ armour piercing high explosive rounds

Well, no. But I am telling 343

What he said…
Null gravity physics get pretty tricky, but I would say that even with recoil mitigation from thruster microburst adjustment, I doubt the team could stay in perfect formation unless their suit computers handled everything. Makes for a pretty sweet visual, though!

Ask Brian Reed he made the story…

Not a .50 cal; 14.5x114mm. BIGGER. Had to nerd out.

ES UNA PREGUNTA INTERESANTE

but she doesnt go flying backwards to begin with even when standing still. thats what i based it on.

because its badass

I hope the science side of waypoint gets here soon!

Interesting…
