I noticed that in the Halo 2 Anniversary cutscene, Locke is seen with 3 other spartans, one of them, (the one with the red visor) doesn’t seem to be in the new picture with Locke team, instead there is an ODST.

I think you’re out of the loop a bit, although I’m not sure what you’re looking at in the photo. It’s all the same Spartans.
The H2A picture shows three Spartans behind Locke: red visor, green visor, pink visor. Red visor is clearly the white Spartan in the cover art, who we know is Spartan Tanaka from the latest issue of Escalation. I’ll grant you her visor looks more orange now than it does in the H2A photo. The pinkish visor is the unidentifed Spartan in red next to Locke in the cover art. The green visor is the same as the ODST-looking Spartan in the cover art. That’s Buck, the ODST from Halo 3: ODST who became a Spartan-IV in Halo: New Blood.
So it’s all the same people and no one has been replaced by an ODST. Buck, being a diehard ODST, just has ODST-looking Spartan-IV armor. Any subtle design changes (such as the red / orange visor color) are likely due to the fact that this prologue cutscene was rendered sometime in early or mid-2014 and designs may have changed slightly since then.
Wow, I just realized something, if you zoom in they’re all wearing a modified version of lockes helmet, the red visored one has the exact same helmet, and the pink one has the same top. They did a really good job at keeping their designs hidden so they could be conceptualized later while still being consistent.

Thank you sir. You had all the answers I was looking for. great post
The Spartan with the red visor has the same helmet as Locke, but considering that cutscene was made by someone external and before anything related to the teams was published, they might have just modified Locke’s armor for the rest of Spartans.
Theory- the odst in Locke’s team I think is one of the odst from kilo 5 sent by osman probably to insure that Locke either kills, capture the chief (more capture seeing how there from the same class) or whatever oni does.
Also I wonder if chief knows failed attempt to kill her and the fact she join Jul cause of it or of anything happening that has happened after
Coincidentally, a lot of Metroid Prime’s developers actually work at 343 now. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was deliberate. Let’s hope whoever this is gets better lines than Samus.
