I have beaten the campaign on legendary, but I am still unable to pick the armor or legendary visor.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
Your service record says you have only completed the first 3 missions. You probably did the rest offline.
So do I just not get them? No way to update my profile or anything?
Sadly no, you would have to replay.
A tip. If it was hard for you, I recommend watching RC Master, Aurasoldier or Tyrant’s guides. They make your life easier.
You need to do the whole campaign online but since you already did the first 3 missions online that just leaves mission 4 and onward.

It isnt really punishing. For a long time, it has been known that Halo 4 armor is unlocked through ranks and commendations, and commendations can only be obtained online.
If I were you, I would have waited.
I don’t live a life where I can just wait to play games.
The game should just oh, I don’t know, update the profile from the last login like every game on my ps3 does? No, that would be too crazy.

Your ignorance is no one’s fault but your own. I understand your frustration, but any research at all into Halo 4’s Mark VI would have brought up the online requirement. It’s been gone over again and again and again.
