Upon pre-ordering my copy of Halo 4, I was promised eight specializations but was only offered two. I then received an e-mail from xboxlive claiming to be a gift of six more specializations, which I redeemed and was directed to a page which claimed “Your content has been unlocked.” I am still only offered the two original specializations, wetwork and operator, which I have completed, and I’m now stuck at level 70. I really love this game and I want to keep playing, but I want to be rewarded with experience for completing commendations and challenges. I know this bug was not intentional but I have no idea how to fix it, and I know that I’m not the only one experiencing this problem. Please fix it for me, or tell me how I can fix it. I am a loyal Halo gamer and purchased xbox 360 specifically to play halo games. That would be much appreciated, thank you. 
On the email did you hit redeem?
Or did you do it on the console?
Try re-downloading the limited edition patch.
You can find it by logging into Xbox.com and then going to Sign in to your Microsoft account

Thank you so much for that, its sitting right there in my download history asking me to add it to queue, and if that works which I assume it will, problem solved. I’ve been trying to figure this out for two whole days and you just solved it in less than a minute. Thanks again. I feel dumb.
No worries dude. Been there myself which is how I come to know about it.
If it doesn’t work, clear your cache and try again. Sometimes the download gets corrupted you see.
