While working on the ODST audio logs, I noticed I was missing the achievement “Give Heed” for the 12th audio log. My audio log achievements are up to the 23rd one, and I manually counted 23 of them in my VISR, which means that I got #12 but the achievement didn’t unlock.
Looking back through the list, I unlocked “Hang Onto My Words” for the 11th on 6/15/2019 and “Get A Load” for the 13th on 6/20/2019.
What can I do to get the missing one to unlock?
Here’s a guide for all audio logs.
Odst achievements are a little buggy, i would recommend you to restart mombasa streets on last rally point, and go for the 12th audio log.
I have the 12th, and revisiting it after loading into Rally Point 4 didn’t have an active audio log there anymore, just a plain phone.
I see. Like i said, MCC achievements are a little buggy; i’ve also had a couple which pooped up like one or two weeks later. So, be patient

- Try a hard reset, hold the power button for 10 second while xbox is on and wait until it turns off; then press the button again to turn it on. - Don’t know if this works, but you could try playing mombasa streets with a friend and have him host you, then go for the audio log.Hope this helps!
No immediate result with the hard reset, but I’m gonna start the game up, let it sync and then continue on the audio logs. Might revisit #12’s location from Rally Point 4 just to see if it does something, if not, continue and see if it pops alongside the next one which will be 24.
After searching forever (they’re really getting sparse now) I found one and unlocked the achievement for 24. 12’s location wasn’t an active phone, and unlocking the achievement for 24 didn’t get me the missing one for 12 with it like I’d hoped. After giving up searching for the night, I did another hard reset before actually turning it off just to see if it’ll have any effect when I resume the hunt tomorrow. I still have the correct number of them in-game, so it won’t prevent me from continuing.
If it comes to it, I’ll try the co-op approach with either a second account signed into my console and that one hosts, or see about having someone host a session online. The main problem is that the locations aren’t fixed, you get them in-game in the correct order regardless of location on the map, so the location for 12 I’ve been re-checking is just one guide’s place to get the 12th one. I believe the behavior in the original ODST release was different because I only remember phones from it, but within the MCC some have been ticket kiosks, recruitment consoles or medical stations.
That’s unfortunate
Imo, you should try collect all audio logs (record store owner), and hope that the 12th one pops up with it.
If this doesn’t work either, i can try help you on co-op (if you want).

I think it’s simply a classic bug in the one achievement system. If you can’t find other solutions I suggest you leave it alone, the important thing is that the game will count them all. You will come to a point where you will miss only that achievement of the twelfth audiolog. Simply keep playing and hopefully you will unlock the ac. The idea of hard reset is not bad, do it every now and then. Keep in mind that when I had to unlock the halo 5 Warlord achievement I appeared after a couple of weeks that I had completed the requirements… So just keep playing… maybe for others achievement!
Yeah, I’m just continuing the hunt for the rest of them now. With the sheer quantity of achievements in MCC it wouldn’t even be noticable even if nothing trips it, and it’s only a 5 pointer so I can’t complain about gamerscore. MCC is certainly not something I’ll be anywhere near 100-percenting so I’m just not gonna worry too much about it, and if it unlocks, great. If not, I’ll probably never notice it again.
Up to 27 now, so only two left in the open streets. This’ll be interesting lol.
A couple things I thought were glitched locations turned out to be “beacons” to indicate one was near. A phone that was ringing turned out to be an alert that there was one of those somewhat hidden grey security doors around the corner leading into a closed plaza with a couple engineers and an audio log, and an active ticket machine was indicating a hidden phone up the adjacent steps and back in a little nook. So now I’m basically re-searching the entire city looking for such clues, because with only two left in the open streets, it’s gonna be one heck of a search, but I really want to do it without a guide. I also find it kind of calming to roam around the city, so the added time doesn’t bother me.
Gah!
Found the last needles in the haystack, started Data Hive and fought through to the hidden room, got the 30th, got the achievement for the 30th, but Record Store Owner didn’t unlock. It’s showing it at 96% completion, so apparently that one uses the achievement progression instead of the in-game count. That one stings a bit.
Well, i find a solution! Just add a guest (hope you have another controller), and start Mombasa streets on last rally point, at any difficulty. All audio logs are still there!
Ooh. Looks like I’ll be using my USB wired controller on console for the first time… By last rally point, do you mean Data Hive or Open Streets? I was using Open Streets which is the last one on the selection.
Open Streets, last rally point.
“Sadie’s story” starts again with the first log, so i’d recommend you to pick them up till the 12th one (the order in which you pick them up is not important)
Yeah, it should be a quick process considering how dense they are in the city with all available, and I’ll use Easy difficulty to limit enemy interference.
Would I be playing as the guest with the second controller or as myself? In the original ODST release, playing co-op with my group, I got credit for every one hit by someone in the session.
Don’t know if this works on MCC, but i recommend you playing with the main account
Boom! Thanks for the solution, I loaded into ODST, plugged in the wired controller and added it as a guest, then just left it alone. After getting 12 audio logs, I got both the missing achievement for #12 and also Record Store Owner, on top of a bonus achievement for playing a co-op game when I first started. After getting them both unlocked, I just quit out of the session so my actual save wouldn’t lose the audio logs in-game should I want to listen through the entire thing while working on other achievements later on.
Success!
Glad it worked out! Yeah, Sadie’s story is really interesting
Yeah it’s boring when the achievement dosen’t unlock but i’m glad it worked out.
