I will also add fear of missing out 343i that is extremely low of you going that route. That is not at all the right way of trying to keep the player base up by doing this.
It wouldnt make sense to make all these assets and not leverage them for a profit in some way. I wouldnt be suprised if there are mystery events that turn out to be a limited event for 1 week or as previously stated outright sold in a bundle.
look at rare and sea of theives, literally sells everything you grinded for after the season. Atleast 343 isnt that badā¦ yet. Cant say how many times ive wanted to quit sot because either what i unlocked got sold after or what i wanted was fomo locked for no logical reason (like PL curse even though the other bp items are sold, really rare?)
Feel like MS forces 343 to be like Rare.

Didnāt they give out the Mark VI Scarred and Helioskrill armors to anyone who got lucky in REQ Packs in Halo 5 Guardians?
The Mark VI Scarred was originally a Halo 5 Beta player exclusive item. And Helioskrill armor was exclusive to those who beat Halo 2 Anniversary on Legendary. I didnāt participate in the Beta and I have the Mark VI Scarred armor. Heck, the Hunter Armor Set was a pre-order exclusive from Game Stop, but not anymore. You get it in Mythic REQs now.
Now the only armor you can unlock by challenge rating or exclusive content in Halo 5 is -
- Nightfall (watch the free series on Halo Waypoint)
- Timmy (play custom games a lot)
- Olive (get your forge map featured in a playlist)
- Achilles (Fireteam Progression unlock & high skill rating)
343 has done this before. It is only a matter of time until they do this again. We will definitely see the return of events in the future, but previous event content will DEFINITELY be a ten-piece bundle sold to players as the weekly item while the event is live.
Yeah the h5 armor sets were scummy but rather tame compared to what rare does on a daily basis while the community eats it up.
Can you imagine these forums if you could buy everything from the battlepass in a bundle? I wouldnt even be here LOL. Ngl if rare was in charge theyd probably sell the watchdog coating for 50$ by itself.
You can buy everything in the regular Battle Pass. 200 Credits per level tier.

As for Event passes, I GURANTEE IT that when an event comes back, we will have new content as a new 10 tier pass, and the old content will be in the shop.

I completely agree, and its definitely coming. There are similarities between the two but 343 is less toxic in implementation than rare (rare doesnt set a high bar).
That being said, rare actually makes good cosmetics and anyone who buys a winter contingency bundle deserves to have their money taken, you cant help thatā¦ 343 is absolute garbage at making anything look decent. The new lava coating is frustratingly bad.
