I missed the Tac ops event due to a demanding work schedule at the time, anyone have any clue if there will be another? That Mark V helmet looks too good to pass up.

I think they said something about the event being broken so they’re giving everyone all the event items? Unless I misread something.

It’s not coming back. I’m also pretty sure that only those two were active during the event got the items.

As I said in the OP. I had a challenging work schedule during those two weeks, I didn’t have time to play.

There hasn’t been any official confirmation on any limited time events making a return or never coming back with an exception possibly being Tenrai.
Tenrai is part of the larger “Fractures” event and from the wording is most likely not coming back in favor of other “Fractures” flavors.
Winter Contingency, Cyber Showdown, and Tac Ops while limited have only occurred once so far within the limited scope of Infinite’s so far short lifespan, and may turn out to be annual events. But only time will tell.

My guess is that it will be back, eventually. Or at least there will be other limited time events that allow players to unlock the majority of the items which were featured in TacOps. Can’t say that for sure, but my suspicion is that 343 will offer players who missed the event the chance to backfill their armories in time- that’s just the simple math of them trying to maximize the amount of engagement they get per cosmetic asset they’ve created for the game. The trick for them is to try to make sure they leave enough time between now and when players can have another shot at the items to maintain as much a sense of exclusivity as possible for both groups (the already have’s and the missed out’s).
I fully expect to see even the Tenrai event return at some point, probably not in the first handful of seasons, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it back. 343i is definitely weaponizing FOMO whether they acknowledge it or not, but whenever they feel like reintroducing some of these exclusive items and events in the future will boost player engagement, they’ll do it IMO.

Just gotta love that FOMO. While I love that the Mark V Zeta helmet was free, its so crappy that anyone who didn’t play in that time might never get the Mark V Zeta helmet again unless the event or helmet return someday.
“Oh, you couldn’t play Halo during a stressful time in your life? Sorry! Please buy store items if you really want some more customization!”

It’s highly unlikely it’ll come back as an event again. It’s more likely to land in the store for those that missed it I reckon. I wouldn’t bet on it coming back as an event. They’re supposed to be one offs.

What’s the basis for this though?
We’ve had it once, and haven’t even been through an annual rotation crossing into timeframes of other limited time events like Winter Contingency or Cyber Showdown to provide a precedence for that argument.

I sure hope not. It’s been yoinked up ever since because some moron though we needed to keep the variant weapons… 
Events will obviously make a return.
And if not, 343 will just sell as the event content as bundles, with Fractures probably going to be a bundle that will be sold for $20 -$30 for just the Event Battlepass stuff.
As the OP said he missed it due to work and I had the same reason. It shouldn’t be that you have to constantly log online to play to see if an event is going on and if one is you only get one shot at it. I get it was for 2 weeks but if you were unable to play during that time it shouldn’t be you miss out on that helmet. The MARK V helmet to me is by far one of my favorite ones. I remember doing all of the achievements in halo 3 to unlock it. Which i still believe playing the campaign we should have been given a ton of armor unlocks finding skulls or certain easter eggs in the campaign instead we got lame paint jobs. They could have said btw if you buy the campaign you get exclusive armor even a master chief armor core would have been enough say you get it beating it on legendary or finding all the skulls. Instead we get these events that can be missed. Also i swear i played the game during the time they showed it but never got everything unlocked for me unfortunately. So not sure why I didn’t get it all unlocked do we have to enter a code or something?
