⭐ Missed opportunity (kill cam)

I just told you. The player would gain an unfair advantage and gains the location of an enemy that the player would not have previously known. Cheaters will exist in any game but that doesn’t mean kill cams feel any less like cheating.

Players shouldn’t be getting information from kill cams. There is already plenty of ways to gain information without resorting to cheating via kill cams. I play a lot of games and you have no clue which games I play and my opinion still stands regardless of which games I pick. So glad kill cams don’t exist. There is no missed opportunity and not everyone wants their game dumbed down.

Yeah but all you would know is where they were when they killed you, not after (like what you do now, with the current deathcam), as far as I’m concerned an enemy knowing what I did 5 seconds ago in a MM game is sort of insignificant because I won’t just be standing in the same exact location.

I’m done talking about this with you dude. I play Ranked almost exclusively, with some BTB thrown in on occasions. The game you play and the one I play where my teammates are telling me every single location of the enemy team are different. You probably play BTB where callouts are about as rare as an Albino reindeer, so I just take your words with a grain of salt.

If you want to learn and get a better idea of what I’m talking about watch the recent HCS Raleigh event, notice the insane amount of information that is gleaned after someone dies. This is even with a death cam that frankly is neutered because you can’t rotate it.

the kill cam is probably what keeps me playing overwatch so much. being able to see how they killed me immediately makes everything less bull. never sitting there going “omfg thats a cheater for sure aimbot mfer” because in the replay it ends up more like “ah that cheeky -Yoink!- got lucky”

Enough already. I have said what I’ve said. I played a fair amount of of 4 v 4 and I believe I’m doing ok in ranked so don’t try to generalise my ‘skill’ by throwing BTB under the bus just because you don’t like conflicting viewpoints. I use callouts often. All you’re doing is dismissing opinions just because you can’t handle them and to be blunt that is condescending and patronising. Not everyone cares about HCS and I don’t need to join the some stupid HCS just to get any basic respect from you.

It doesn’t because I can’t move the camera around my dead body. It’s just staring at the ground the whole time.

Kill cam, if it ever gets added, should remain out of Ranked imo. It would give away too much of the enemy player’s movement as well as possibly the location of their team mates. The death cam only follows the enemy who killed you until they get out of view.

If someone wants to use kill cam mainly to expose cheaters, they should check the enemy’s pov in theater mode if they seem suspicious. That way you can also more easily and reliably identify a cheater and get evidence of them so you can expose them. I already found one cheater for certain after they used an aimbot and possibly another one who might have used wall hacks. The latter one I’m not sure of though as it is possible that the enemies just had really good communication lol. I would share the clip I have of the aimbotter here on the forums, but I’m pretty sure calling people out is forbidden, even if they’re definitely cheaters. I reported them on the support site though.

The current system has an even bigger problem than a kill cam, it will follow you to where the enemy is going. A killcam (which I am against) would not have this “cheat”.
