From the number of posts I’ve seen about farming in warzone, I think there’s a common misconception about what farming is. Farming is basically when youre being spawn killed by the enemy. Just because you’re triple capped doesn’t mean you’re being farmed. Many times, teams will triple cap the enemy and then not have the firepower to blow up the core. Ive played many games solo (over 1000) and only have only been spawn killed about 3 times. When I get triple capped, I often can’t tell if the enemy team is trying to farm or if they are simply not good enough to blow up the core. There are very few teams out there that are capable of truly farming an enemy team in warzone.
This is how they farm what they want is to get the whole team coming out of one area where they can just kill them sure you aren’t getting spawn killed but usually your trapped in your damn base
To me farmed is a made up term for softies who can’t take a butt kicking at a video game. It’s a fps game! The point is to kill the opposing players/team.
OP I agree with you, but that is not to say, farming doesn’t happen, or because it only happened to you 3 times, me also btw, it doesn’t mean it has not been occuring to others.

Of course it happens. It will happen in any shooter, but it’s certainly not at the frequency that some on this forum pretend it is. I play solo 98% of the time and I (similar to the OP) have only been in games where actual farming is occurring a few times.
OP is right that many here think a triple cap without an immediate core destruction automatically means they’re being farmed, and its simply not the case.
I farm them real good

Hey I’ve seen you in a match and on ispiteful’s video. I was the guy on dark star causing hell in a sword banshee a few days ago
then I got wrecked by someone on you team that got more than 80 kills?
Completely agree. There are people that say they get farmed every third game which is such BS. Farming is where the enemy team has the ability to destroy the core but won’t. A triple cap is not farming, it’s just a better team.
Pretty much this. I usually run in quick-core lobbies with my company. We try to triple cap and blow up the core as fast as possible but 95% of enemy teams will defend their core. They will rush back to the core room when it’s in trouble and try to kill us while we’re shooting it. The people who are trapped in their base with no chance of winning don’t want us to end the game.

Gotta disagree with you there, farming does happen, not as much as you would think though, which is were I feel your comeing in.
To dismiss that by saying those players are weak is to show ignorance to the problem. We need to band together as a community and try to work together to stop this and any other problems the future will most definitely bring.
whats funny is ive seen OP been blasted on here for being a farmer a while back lol
hell ive even been in a game against him, where 90% of his team was champion level… against guys that avg plat maybe diamond. so there was a skill gap there. regardless of whether you think arena ranks play a part in warzone they do, specially when you encounter 1v1s in warzone.
normally i would agree with OP but being a hypocrite trying to protect yourself kinda takes away any points you might have
also OP dont try to say other wise, i do have the game pulled up to post if you try to say you never have
If they aren’t even attempting to enter even if they have immense firepower than they are farming. If they control the outside of your base the entire game and if they are good enough not to let someone capture another base, then they are 100% farming. If you can sneak out and capture a base or kill them back they are either not farming or they are bad at farming.

He’s played 7000 warzone games. He’s been on both sides countless times as he’s mentioned before. No one is denying the existence of farming. He’s merely bringing up his own observations where people think getting outplayed to the point of getting triple capped will always ensue in farming. From my personal experience, I agree with what penguin is trying to convey.
Farming is only an issue if a select mix of players:
- Are extremely individually skilled
- Know how to play warzone very efficiently
- Are team oriented/ have reqs (not necessary if the individual players are skilled enough-just slay and map control will eventually ensue)
- Are choosing not to blow the core whether for getting kills, achieving commendations, maxing out boosts, getting AI kills, or relaxing killing noobs (similar to farming/killing AIs in war zone firefight)
There are only a few teams searching at any time that can effectively do this. The thing is, the great players don’t want bad people on their team so they play with each other to avoid frustration by an unaware teammate that doesn’t help nor contribute to the game.
Penguin is no saint (sorry homie) but he is being as objective as possible in his observations. I’ve searched 2’s with penguin countless times and I can safely say without us holding down the middle base, slaying for map control, and taking down important enemies whether it’s AI or a player, our team would have gotten murdered, and probably trip capped eventually leading to being “farmed”.
I’m against farming, but if the game is ended in 4 minutes every time, I can’t get boss kills i.e. Warden. It’s risky to spawn a high level req searching by myself because I can’t control the map to prevent the opponent from being able to see the warden in the first place.
Ie. Noctus- we want monument and then north over south because the warden spawns on that side first. I can’t control what my team does. If we are at south, we spawn and cannot see the warden right away unless we run out in the open. See how important map control is? If we triple cap and push the opponent back into the core, they won’t be able to put 1 shot into the warden and take the kill I’ve been trying to get for the past minute or two.
Not to mention to play the game and use reqs I’ve saved up from playing thousands of games. Again, I search solo or with small parties to make things interesting and prevent landslide victories, but as I’ve mentioned previously, a lot of people have no idea what they are doing. The only way to improve is to keep playing, which has been lost in this instant-gratification/participation ribbon culture.

He actuslly
never said he farmed… And said he was onlyy farmed 3 times which he couldn’t tell…
so so my point in him talking about it he specificiay has been called out for farming before here. So IMO he only started this post to try and prove that he doesn’t when there is proof he does. Simple slight of hand to say. Look over here so you don’t see what I’m really doing.
I I also mentioned I would normally agree with his points if he has not been a proven farmer in the past.

He’s only TRULY been farmed (spawn killed in the core) 3 times. What people have been complaining about is not farming, it’s just losing so they blame it on farming. People set up outside to prevent people from escaping. It’s like people complaining about farming while going into the core room and shooting enemies trying to shoot the core. Like what? How are you going to report someone for “farming” if you don’t let the attackers blow the core in the first place?
Please steer clear of your personal emotions and view this as objectively as possible. Your logic is to disagree with him because he has been called out as a farmer? What a joke. That holds no water in any way.
You’ve probably “farmed” before without even knowing. Or at least waypoint’s skewed definition of farned. Everyone has. If your team is strong enough to triple cap, you try and destroy the core. You keep trying but get killed every time. From the other team’s perspective, you’re “trapping them inside of their base”. Maybe it takes 5 minutes to build reqs to call in a fuel rod or a camo or whatever to sneak by and kill the defenders. What are you doing for 5 minutes according to the other team? FARMING.

No it’s not. The point is to win.

Agree 100% I used to “farm” kills in Halo 2 for Pete’s sake that is the point of the game! Kill the opponent, and for all those who say they need to destroy the core… stop going outside, make them come to you. If you do not give them easy kills they will come into your base and you have the upper hand or they will blow the core up. It’s not rocket science.

how does it hold no water? My thing is I can’t take him seriously about what is farming and what is not when he works all day in the blistering sun farming crops. He also usually rolls in a team full of champion level players. So of course out of all his games ever he has only been farmed 3 times. But more times then not his team is full of good players. Probably too tier players at that. Champion makes up a small % of the population.
And be are you really that stubborn? Have you never seen someone shout out of this doesn’t happen stop believing in it. This is the truth. Then find out that person is involved on he opposite side? Lol happens everyday all the time. And that person loses all credibility in their point afterwards. Vey simple
in case you still don’t understand. I don’t disagree with his points. I disagree with him being the one trying to prove it. You can’t have a farmer speak out saying it doesn’t exist.
Getting farmed by randoms is near impossible, its certain known extremely large SCs that are doing it and smaller ones that are following their lead. theyre the farmers. Thats what people complain about. We just cant say who because of rules.
