Mint Blitz, arguably one of the best Halo players and content creators out there, who (by the way) still advocates for Halo Infinite despite the overwhelmingly negative tidal wave that is the fan-base at this point, can barely even play the game anymore. Check out his latest YT video “The Australian Halo Infinite Experience.”
Sorry, waypoint won’t allow me to link a YT video, or I just don’t know the proper way to do it, but it’s a short, but very sad, video by an upstanding member of the Halo community that is just getting utterly shafted for his skill level and region.

It’s a shame, because a ton of people, even high ranks, streamers, and YouTubers, literally cannot do these events, because they can’t find a match. Once again, Mint Blitz can’t do Tenrai or get the weekly capstone reward, because Microsoft and 343 are incompetent as usual. People have the same issue with Halo 5 and MCC. At least MCC lets you select your region. People have been contacting them on Twitter and Waypoint Support for years, to no avail, sadly.
This is exactly why Halo struggles to be popular outside of the US, and they don’t care.
Mint Blitz is one of the most recognizable Halo players, but even the HCS players are sick of the game too, so let’s see how bad it continues to get.
Ah he can’t play competitively due to taking part in something called the “pilot program” and most if not all of his clips are with him teaming up with players far below his skill set, putting an onyx against bronze/ gold players, like his GF cait etc.
So while he camps on a rock in objective big team using active camo and the shock rifle really well, there isn’t much to suggest he is a great player.
Hence why when he left his girlfriend cait and her mum, they were able to find a game instantly, because thier CSR is so much lower than his…
I think he meant the Tenrai Pass. He only got to level 25 and got the Yokai helmet, but there’s only one Tenrai rerun left to get the last 5 items. He needs enough games to finish 5 Tenrai challenges, but also to finish 7 non-tenrai challenges to get that 5th Tenrai challenge. If he has something like “Complete a Strongholds match” like I did, it took me 12 matches just to finally get one, and he and other people can’t find any matches at all after hours of trying. At this rate, he will never get the antlers and sword. He also will never get the Juzu weekly.
Probably a sign of the population across the skill spectrum (particularly up top) and in particular within his region. Sad & embarrassing when you consider it’s a F2P title.
I live in Washington State on the West Coast and I’ve been noticing increased matchmaking times as well. Two - Three minutes on average recently. Not sure what the hell is going on.
