Minor story speculation for Halo Xbox One.

I was just browsing the Halo Wikia and saw this on the page for Thel 'Vadam:

“Soon after being promoted to Shipmaster, Thel suffered an injury in the training ring due to a mistake. His family hushed up the incident, as well as the resultant visit by a doctor, due to Sangheili culture equating the loss of blood and medical operation by a doctor with a loss of honor. During his convalescence, Thel made an old-fashioned doarmir-fur Shipmaster’s cloak, wearing it always to remind him that he could make grave mistakes if he let his guard down.”

This is a minor assumption on my part, and it may be very unlikely, but what if this doarmir-fur cloak is what the Chief’s wearing in the Halo Xbox One teaser?
Because if it is, then Chief may be on Sanghelios, or one of it’s moons, note the red planet in the background of the video. (Sanghelios is red too.)

Well, if he wore it as a Shipmaster, then this may be the kind of cloak he was wearing, not exactly the rags Chief is in during the trailer. I still find the Ark theory to be more convincing.

Agreed.

No, the cloaks are pretty similar (in escalation): http://www.halopedia.org/File:Thel_2558.png

I think a long piece of fabric draped over a body all look pretty similar.
