Post about minor details from halo 4 that just get on your nerves. And i don’t mean things like POD or sprint or anything big. Small things like how maybe something looks or sounds, maybe something on a particular map on how it plays out. Stuff like that.
For me the most annoying minor detail is the human sniper rifle. I dislike everything about it. It feels awkward, i HATE the scope look and it just sounds off. I can’t seem to ever do really well with it. I feel more at home sniping with the beam rifle.
Hah well if I was to nitpick, I’d probably say it’s very odd how the assassination knife just comes out of your wrist, Assassin’s Creed style. And it’s not like you can say “oh it’s the simulation” because it happens in Campaign and Spartan Ops too.
It just looks funny.

Really now? I find that very interesting. If memory serves me correct in reach your knife just magically appeared in your hand.
Another thing that really gets on my nerves is the oddball grifball and ricochet ball are all the same.
I get that the oddball is a skull so that works with the current ball. But the other 2 are bombs practically.

Yeah that is true, but at least in Reach there was a knife holstered on your Spartans armor somewhere, so even though it sort of teleported from holster to hand, at least it looked like your Spartan had one.

I remembered that. Got pissed at reach when i found out i was effectively able to have 3 knifes on person (emiles shoulder, any chest piece and your assassination knife.)
Throwing the Oddball and the points system. To me it seems pretty stupid and unusual how four players can have 300 points each but a total team score of 600 points (60 kills). IMO Team Slayer should simply be 60 kills, not 600 point - even if they are essentially the same thing.
EDIT: Also the UI is completely awful and definitely does not belong in a Halo game (why make players look like cards?) and the menu music is horrendous. Menu music should provide a nice background sound, not make me want to find a match quicker just to avoid it.
I can’t pick up grenades from a co-op partner in Campaign
Radar range is really annoying for me…
things that don’t make sense. just saying.
Lack of Military Police helmet. The design of the Broadsword. It looks like a turtle, and it annoys me that it was actually designed to look like that. The weapons on the Forward unto Dawn, which happen to be postwar models. Lack of SMG.
Inability to colour helmet separately from the rest of the armour, not a feature from previous games, i know, but it would be cool (would also allow for a complete ODST Recon suit). Lack of Phoenix emblem.
So for me its all just visual things. And it’s mostly just things that aren’t in the game. And as for the other stuff, i have a tendency to nitpick.
Rogues huge -Yoink- shoulders because they clip through everything.
The fact alot of people somehow think infiltrator looks really bad, and venator is one of the best.
No audible click when resupplying from the green ammo box in spartan ops.
Switching weapons while sprinting raises the weapon instead of keeping it lowered like it did in Reach.
Black texture on Ragnarok in front of blue base.
The S in UNSC.
The number 4 on the DMR ammo display.
Overuse of the UNSC logo on nearly every object.
Sound glitches especially if you exit a regen field.
“Capture and the enemy flag” is still not fixed.
Text on screen is all caps which make distinguishing the letter D, O, and the number zero impossible.
SAW and human sniper rifle look like placeholder textures.
Binary knights and crawlers firing without a red ring around their head.
2D Cortana face on HUD and holographic Cortana face are clearly not the same.
Holographic Cortana working holographic controls with holographic hands instead of just standing there eyes shut and thinking it.
The red gas canister in the back of the Warthog.
All Forerunner weapons except the Incineration Cannon sound like children’s laser tag guns.
The Gravity Hammer sounds like a sci-fi hockey stick.
You can’t change any kind of audio settings.
The design for the shield on your HUD. Just went straight back to Halo 3 despite Reach being better and easier to read.
That sound the Sticky Detonator makes when you start sprinting. IMO there aren’t any decent Torso pieces outside of Mark 6, CIO, and Venator

How so? All 3 are pretty much the same. Reach just had an indention in the middle for the health bar, which wouldn’t make sense in 3 or 4 because health doesn’t work the same way.
