Minor, But Annoying Things in Reach

In past Halo games, the indicator of getting shot was just fine because the entire side of your HUD wouldn’t flash distracting orange that just made getting shot annoying (especially from a distance, or when you’re in a Scorpian).

This is a tiny nitpick, but it just bugs me when playing Reach’s Campaign. My point is, give us an indicator we’ve been shot, and where we’re being shot from, but not enough to annoy the player.

I’d also like to point out that the amount of shields you have to lose in Reach to hear incessant beeping gets old really fast. The quiet beeping plays far too frequently when not even half of your shields have been drained.

Finally, I’d appreciate it if the grenade sound-effect that deafens your hearing was graciously taken out. I might as well have been playing Reach’s Multiplayer on mute due to all of the grenades being tossed everywhere, and impairing my sense of sound.

I don’t understand how the grenade messes with your hearing since the helmet is vacuum sealed… Well that’s gameplay for you!

silly you every one knows Spartans dont have heads

Another minor, but annoying thing:

Why does the HUD look like it’s fresh out of some homebrew side-scroller made by middle schoolers?

The numbers awkwardly overlap the weapon icons, the heating bar on plasma weapons is rudimentary, and the ammo clips use the same little icons for every weapon.

I’m not usually nit-picky. In fact, I only mention this because it’s pertinent to the OP. But come on, even Halo CE had a way better looking HUD than the one in Reach.
