Mine is just begining

Both roles in the two sides to every story preview story seems to play on the extreme of two political point of view held by the public. That is why ONI hired a PR guy to masquerade as a journalist to dig into the childhood of the MC. The debate between Gods and Demons is not going to be made in the heavens but here on Earth. The two videos are very interesting. As one waypoint user noticed: the MC arrives on the scene as the sun sets as Locke arrives as the sun rises. I don’t think that is a mistake. I think it will foreshadow the MC death near the end of Halo 5. I also think the sun rising will foreshadow the rise of Locke (and I still believe Cortana will be rescued at some point in Halo 5.) But how can my prediction of a MC death work with the line, by MC in the video when he says to Locke Mine is just beginning?

Here is what I think:

#1 Spartans never die.
#2 John is about to risk everything to save Earth and more specifically the one person he sets out to find, Cortana.
#3 Cortana finds a way to either live over seven years or become more human via Forerunner technology.
#4. John lives on, even though he is gone. His actions set in place things that are beyond Epic on the original Halo scale.
#5. Cortana and Locke join forces at some point. Its the only way we will actually buy into Locke.
#6 Dont be surprised if John gets cloned one last time, by Halsey, not to be MC2 but live forever as an Ai.

I doubt its simply a mission to bring Cortana back. If John knew of a way to bring her back the UNSC would be on board rather than him having to go all Lone wolf to do it

#1. They might make make an exception to that since the human-Covenant war is over and John has been branded a traitor.

#2. I can buy that he went rougue for the greater good or out of disagreement with ONI’s recent actions, but he wouldn’t compromise humanity’s safety just for Cortana. It might be a personal goal but I think he would need a greater reason for him to go rouge – one that would change his perspective of the world, his ideology and how he views himself.

#3. And that just invalidates everything Halo 4’s ending stood for. Bringing back Cortana eliminates Cortana arc in which she came to the realization that she was going to die. She managed to finally ensure Chief’s safety and even physically touched him, which allowed her to experience being human in a sense before dying at peace. Bringing her back is illogical and would undo all of that. I wouldn’t the UNSC building a new Cortana or an AI inspired by her, but it can’t and won’t be her, as Cortana stated.

#4. I don’t see why 343 Industries should kill him now, when we’re finally getting character development from him in the games. I’m honestly really looking forward to seeing where they will take him. They should kill him off years from now when they’ve better developed Halo’s newer characters.

#5. And Locke won’t have any merits in his own right as a character? For all we know, he could be really likable in his own right.

#7. I don’t see why he would be cloned to create an AI. What practicality would that offer the UNSC? John is and always has been a warrior. If he’s going to die, I think it should involve him sacrificing himself and fighting in battle one final time. Perhaps he would think of Cortana and all of his allies before doing so. The ambiguous ending of Halo 3 worked then. But if we ever see an end to John’s story arc, he’ll probably have to die because I don’t think he’ll ever be able to live a normal life and dying in combat is the best way he could be remembered. It proves that he’s fallible and it’ll show the extent of his sacrifice.

They’re not killing off John. They confirmed it.

Cortanna is dead/destroyed she’s not coming back. Her sacrifice gets really cheapend if she magically revives.

“At the end of this please figure out which one of us is the machine.” Those words to chief would be made meaningless if space magic revives her as a human.

There are no dragon balls in halo. Death is not a revolving door.
Chief has survived waves of what should be death and beat it all like it was nothing. No cortanna shows he’s not invincible.
When I first saw halo I asked myself who is this guy in green armor who kicks alot of yoink? I got his back story but that doesn’t answer the question. He’s getting character development now this question can be answered.
