Min & Recommended specs for PC?

Hello there, I was wondering if 343i will communicate on these crucial informations soon enough, I mean, the game is set to release in around 1 year and half now so I bet the engine is ready and that there’s already some advanced playable sequences of the game by now, so why did 343i did not communicate on these? I’ve wanted to buy myself a new PC and I’d like to model the specs to be able to play the game on it decently, so having informations on the matter would be appreciated…

I’m not expecting forum members to give me the answer but I know 343i guys sometimes read the forum, if you see this, please communicate those asap (I know it still might not be possible by now), also do the same thing for MCC, the min specs that you guys have published on steam really mean nothing ^^

System requirements are not something that gets released so much time before the game’s launch. There are different reasons for that, but you can bet they won’t be coming in the near future. The reason they didn’t release them yet on the MCC for example is that they wish to see how it works on different platforms when the fighting begins, so they have a better idea of how the game runs overall. Flighting is set to begin this month, so at least for MCC you can expect to get the system requirements fairly soon.

I was wondering the same as you YunZhaelor

I currently own a PC with a i7 4790k/16 Gb of RAM and old AMD Radeon r9 290x and an xbox one X, and i am thinking about selling my xbox one X (we just had a baby recently and money is going away way to fast so…)

I cant change my PC either (perhaps the graphic card in a couple of years) and i would feel terrible with the idea of my PC not being able to play the game… because i like Halo more than any other games…
(i wish Halo 5 was playanywhere too so i would still be able to play warzone firefight with my friends but i guess i can put a black line on this…)

Haha my PC is even crappier than that, I really need a new one if I want to go on with gaming on something else than my Phone and my Nintendo Switch and as I live in a van, I need this PC to be a laptop…

Also I guess in your situation if you sell your Xbox One X and if your PC isn’t just good enough for the game you can still hope to play Halo Infinite on xCloud if your connection is not too bad, as for me it’s just not possible to hope to play games via streaming on 4G, even PUBG Mobile sometimes get laggy on my phone depending on where I am…

I hope you and your kid will enjoy Halo together one day

Unfortunatelly i cant use xcloud with my connection in France (i live in a small village) and the situation is going to be worse in a few months (the mother of my kid is Argentinian and I intend to move there with them, the Buenos Aires internet is even worse than the one you would find in a small village in France)

Regarding your PC needs, i would advise you to go for one of these:

  • laptop with an Intel i7 8700 with a beefy graphic card (eg. gtx 1070/1080 or better such as rtx 2060/2070) and 16 Gigs of RAM
    or
  • upcoming laptop based on Ryzen processors with (again) a beefy graphic card (i dont think Vega 10 chip are enough for graphics, they barely match a WiiU graphic card)

The xbox Scarlett is going to use a Ryzen 8 cores processor (probably running at 3.2-3.5 Ghz because of thermals) so at least this could give you an idea…

ps: yeah I will play Halo with my son someday ! but i will have to wait a little bit because he is just 4 months old right now
