Military accuracy

Dear 343 and fellow Halo fans,

I’m a really huge fan of Halo, and I most of all enjoy the Halo story line.
But while viewing different scenes in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition I noticed something peculiar. And what I imply when I say peculiar is the way the soldiers and Keyes were saluting. If you look back at Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo: Reach all of the marines, ODST’s, deckhands/crewmen, etc… all saluted with the bottom part of their arm parallel to the ground and their hands in a karate chop type position, in other words straight, and their index finger touching at the rim of their helmet, officers cap, or their index finger touching the end of their eyebrows; while they maintain the position of attention and their palm face down. but when I played Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition they were saluting with their palms showing, which indicates the UNSC has lost a declared war. Not only that, but in the others games, like I’ve pointed out, the other Halo games had the palms down salute. I know 343i is trying really hard to please all of the fans in the Halo Universe, and they put a lot of hard-work into making us happy, I just wish that they study military bearing, radio chatter, uniforms, and just keep it looking sharp military accuracy wise. You guys really did impress me and made Halo :Combat Evolved look fantastic, but as a fellow Halo fan I ask of you to please look into my concerns.

Sincerely,
Combat Slade x2

Personaly I haven’t noticed and wouldn’t care if I did but as for the reason why this is done is maybe because traditions have changed in 500 years and also many marines and other soilders of the U.N.S.C. just flooded in to the recruitment program to protect there colony and maybe because of desperate measures the U.N.S.C. had to take only combat uniforms and training were given instead of the full code language and suluting that the marines usually teach

This is a bit of a non issue, there are more important things to get right in the game.

Wow, I would have never noticed that.

And yes, I’d like to see military accuracy.

The Scorpion is one of the best examples of being a horrible tank IRL. It’s not a main tank (it’s more like infantry support as seen in Halo Wars), but it plays the role in every other Halo appearance. This needs to change. I’d like to see a tank that I’ll feel safer in but still able to be defeated.

I fully agree that there are more things to fix such as matchmaking problems. I completely understand everyone’s argument and people have the right to say what they want in the game. I’m just saying this because to me the military has been a lot in my life and my dad has served and it just seems that Bungie cared to touch on the little things such as this, now I’m not dogging on 343 they are trying really hard to do what they can; I’m just saying this could be an easy fix, but I agree with what you’re all saying.
