Does anyone know where I can find a list? My local Best Buy isn’t having it, so I need to find out where I can get my fix as soon as possible. I tried Gamestop.com and there’s no list. Google yields little help. I’m sure Glyph would have a list.
Go on Gamestop.com and use their store locator and look for the stores in your area. After that write down the phone numbers of the local gamestops and call to see if they’re having it. Most Gamestops are having it so I think you’ll be good.

Don’t forget 24hr walmarts too. I’m wondering if some toysrus might also take advantage of a midnight opening. FredMeyers ( kroger store) did midnight releases too for some of the larger video game launches.
It all depends on location. I know that locally, there are three Gamestops, but two of them are in a mall, so they can’t do midnight launches. The best way to go about it would probably be calling each one and just asking. Tedious, I know, but I don’t really see another way.
Being inside a mall does not eliminate them being open for a midnight release. I was just at a gamestop reach after hours event after the mall had closed.
The only Best Buy near me that will open at midnight is in an area that screams “midnight is the best time to get mugged”. Do they really expect me to walk out of the only high-end retailer in the area with a big, expensive box at midnight? I’m not actually a Spartan, guys.

Well, that’s what they told me.
“No midnight launch because the mall doesn’t want to hire extra security.”
So, I guess it all depends on what the mall decides.
Usually it’s on the shoulders of the store that’s open to pay for security. Then again different malls have different policies.
I would just say call your local stores.
