I really can’t be the only one with rustled jimmies over this. My problem is that I want to find out what happens next! I hate it when TV shows do this (I’m looking at you Dr Who and Walking Dead) and now SPARTAN OPS TO?!!?!
I have no problem with this tournament thing and the new DLC thats all fine and dandy, but why not just make new playlists for the tournament? If its gonna be so amazing and such a great event, why not give it its own play lists? And just for the record, I don’t enjoy multiplayer that much. I think spartan ops is way more fun, and it keeps my interest with the story. However now that theres going to be no new story update until next year…
Well, I see another Borderlands 2 playthrough coming this month. Maybe I’ll be Zer0 this time.
It’s that time of year when these types of thing go on break. People working on them go on vacation. People using them have other things to do. It’s the same reason TV shows take a break this time of year. The ratings go down and people aren’t simply sitting there waiting for the next episode to come out. I don’t see it as a big deal…at all.
I keep reading where season 2 is not free. If so… this will be the first time I ever considered trading in my copy of a Halo game. All I can say is the commercials for Season 2 better be spectacular.
Skyrim just got a massive DLC so I’m good till next April.

Not quite. All of the Season 1 Spartan Ops content is already on disc. It just unlocks when a switch gets flipped at 343i. Such a process could be automated easily, of course. That’s why it takes no time to download the cutscenes.

So you rather want them just pumping out new missions on the same old maps?
If this 5 weeks break means that we’ll be getting new environments with new objectives and all, then it’s all fine for me.

I’m pretty sure that they expected readers to realize that they were also taking time off for Christmas, it’s not something that needs to be specifically pointed out, you know?

With all the hard work that 343 has done this year and the launch of halo 4, shouldn’t that entitle a break?

So you’re honestly telling me that they’re literally gonna drop the entire game, until the end of the holidays? You see thats what I’m reading here. If this is the case then we’re gonna get modders up where the sun don’t shine. There’s gotta be someone keeping an eye on the servers over the merry season, think about it.
It’s Christmas, C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S. What do people get on christmas? Gift. What will lots of people be asking for? Video games! What very popular sci fi game series just got a new release? Halo! What are people gonna do if they come online Christmas day and find an unsupervised game full of hackers? You can guess.
The point I’m making here, which I forgot to add earlier, is that they’re gonna have people working on it over the holidays. And also, its built into disk 2 from what I know. The only reason they’re stopping it is because of the contest, and the map pack.
