Mid-game join in warzone?

Keep having the unfortunate experience of having teammates quit early from Warzone matches. Even a few team members quitting can halt any momentum you might have had, leading to a lopsided (and frustrating) defeat.

My question is: why can players not drop/join freely in warzone games? We are talking BIG team sizes here, so murphy’s law will have some people having to leave for legit reasons. Why punish the rest of their team with a long and frustrating defeat due to reduced numbers?

The problem I suppose is this. Most people leave a game when its clear there not going to win, would you want to be dropped into the death rattle of a no win game with no points built up and therefore very limited options for trying to turn the situation around.
