Microtransactions and Customization Worse Than Halo 5

In all honesty the ‘Armor microtransactions’ let’s be completely real, is worse than Halo 5’s Req packs.
How so? well first let’s take a gander at the Battle Pass, which first of all should never be in a halo game, but also in the pass there are 60 free slots. Cool right? Until you realize over 3/4ths of those slots are filled with those ‘challenge exchange’ card things. And what is free are just Color sets and Visor colors, two AI partners, and maaaybe one or two Helmets. Forcing you to pay for the sets you want. And yeah, I know that’s the point, but that doesn’t make it any more acceptable. Heck, i’d rather play a few games of halo 5 for a legendary Req to guarantee myself a nameplate, weapon skin, or piece of armor, over this ‘Battle Pass’ of Infinite.
Also those ‘challenge exchange’ cards are completely worthless and is entirely just a form of bloating the game with something unnecessary and another form of microtransactions. It really doesn’t help that ‘CoD Cold War’ aloud you to exchange weekly challenges for free! A game by the greedy company of Activision/Treyark was less scummy than Microsoft/343.
As for Customization, i’l admit, it is better than 5’s… but the issues that are there, kinda makes it on par with 5. First off, the ‘Armor Cores’. Such as our current gen spartan, Reach spartan, and the soon event spartan. Which let’s be completely real, is just another form of limitation, since Infinite’s spartan is just Reach’s spartan, and certain piece of armor is locked to the given Armor Core. Meaning you can’t have, let’s say, ODST shoulders with the Aviator helmet. Reach stuff stays with the Reach stuff, and so on… Which doesn’t make a lick of sense lore wise, as we know from prior games that the UNSC and ONI are known for taking prior gen armor and using them for current gen armor. Look no further than ODST and MKV armor being still ported over. And even if it was just for Customization reasons, and nothing lore related, again… it’s just limiting what the player can do to their spartan.
Also the ‘Armor kits’ designed to be presets of iconic spartans to make your spartan into is entirely pointless. Like by the time you get it, you already have the Armor to make said spartan. It’s just another thing to bloat Infinite in customization and it’s awful Battle Pass.
The ‘Armor coatings’ are a neat idea… but also are limiting and could be improved to better suit Halo. The Coatings have seven areas to color; Head, arms, main body, legs, and I think lower body. Give the player the ability to choose what color they want with each part of the armor, like a color picker, and have the ‘Armor Coatings’ be turned into ‘Armor patterns’ changing how the color is set on your spartan. For example, you could have differing colors on your spartan, whiles also having, let’s say a Rainbow Armor Pattern, making the colors of your spartan swirl around. Or maybe a ‘Camo’ Armor Pattern, making the colors be in spots of a Camo look. But I guess Microsoft has to milk Halo as much as they can.
And yeah, i’m blaming Microsoft, not 343. 343 may be the Devs, BUT, Microsoft has the final say in what will and wont be in a game, they’re the expectation setters. Company’s gunna be greedy.
