With this new Arena Req Bundle for 25$ 343i and MS keeps damaging the image of the whole Halo IP.
This series was known for AAA-titles with high quality and lots of content. But selling a game for 60$ and then keep on milking their community with microtransaction feels greedy and wrong. On top of that it is the Halo game with the least content at release since halo 2.
Also delivering pizza skins and forge maps doesnt count as further content. Implementing forge maps for free into playlists has been done in halo 3 and reach already without any further payment.
I beg you to stop this strategy. As a longtime fan of Halo you are killing this game series for me. Every new microtransaction offering is disgusting me even more.
(if you stick to your current strategy, you might think about renaming yourself into “Microtransaction Studios”)
This is the unfortunate future of gaming. EVERY game will have microtransctions from here on out. While I do not support them, I cannot blame them. They have made over 1 million and counting on these transactions.
At least Halo is set up in such a way that not paying money has no effect on gameplay.
I have spent a lot less on this game than I did on it’s predecessors. (so many H3 map packs)

Yes, but at the expense of an incomplete game. The ‘free’ DLC contains content that should’ve been released at launch.

Sadly…
As someone who plays games… I hate it
If I was someone who made games, you bet I’d be adding these MT as well.
MT studio. Bungie sold you Halo 3 ODST for $60. And every game had a DLC pass that splintered population amongst too many playlists. I’m so sorry that cosmetic items are ruining the franchise for you

I am quite sry to tell you that “Go play another game that hasn’t …” is the most stupid thing to say on a forum. If everybody would behave like this bugs, glitches and bad mechanics would just stay in games. If you cant handle opinions, maybe get off forums and dont contact people in general.

You can tell a developer to fix a bug. You can’t tell them to stop making money.
I get the hate for packages like this one, I really do. But this package really adds NOTHING. All thats in it is cosmetic garbage that that isn’t going to help anyone one way or the other. Just don’t buy it. It seems pretty simple.
I just laugh at all the complaining about “microtransactions” you DON’T HAVE TO BUY THEM! You can get all the same crap through req points. It’s not their fault you are to lazy to build the points then get req packs. Lets say they made it so you couldn’t buy them and only could use points. I bet people would then complain they couldn’t just buy them.

I am NOT telling them they should stop making money. I tell them they should be cautious how to make money! Because ditching out microtransaction after microstransaction is damaging the image of Halo. They might end up losing money in the long run because of that.
And as you can see there are people who feel like me. And if they keep on doing their microtransaction crap I + several other players wont buy another Halo. Espcaially if they do even more microtransaction trash in future Halos.

You and several others threaten you won’t buy future Halos. At the end of the day, however, you probably will. And even if you don’t, what’s a few people quitting over such a small thing gonna do when several-hundred-thousand-plus still not only buy the games, but gladly fund more microtransactions?
I’ll be sure to buy enough packs to offset the costs of those who quit (over something optional) anyway.

The whole system of getting Reqs in Halo 5 is to sell more microtransaction. I have spent 0 money in Reqs, and still i think it is a bad system and is hurting the Halo IP.
I liked the system in Halo 4, where i had to do specific tasks to unlock stuff. Now everything is just random. And the stuff to unlock is purposely filled with useless trash like emblems and skins to make it even harder to get good stuff. Everyone is suffering from this mechanic, not just people who invest money. Just open your mind and think about an issue for 5 seconds. Because there is more to it than “buy reqs or just dont by reqs”

I dont threaten anyone. I am telling my opinion about a mechanic of a game, thats it.
They can decide whatever they want! No problem at all!
And if you like throwing your money at a company that cares -Yoink!- about their customers, just go for it! If you think 343i deserves further payment for the awesome release of TMCC, with terrible broken online gaming and the release of Halo 5 with broken aiming, and less content than the last 3 Halo games, it is up to you!
I just don’t see it lol. MicroTs have no effect in the actual main part of halo. War zone is just “one” game type that is touched by it in game. It’s also optional to buy or not buy so I think that shuts down the arguement that it’s killing the franchise. What will kill it is the the quality of these launches, not something that only touches one playlist.
to op saying you’ll leave due to this, I’ll happily stay and keep playing.
