After seeing the sad outcome of Halo: Reach DLC, Microsoft decided to give out “accidental” free DLC. When I saw crimson DLC playlist the population was at 25K ish and Infinity slayer/Big team was also at 20K. This made me realize that Microsoft might have intentionally given out free DLC to give a taste of what Halo 4 DLC’s has to offer…
/sarcasm
At first I was extremely mad when I heard of Microsoft mucking up but now that I think of it we all can benefit from this… More people are willing to buy more Halo 4 DLC and the playlists will not be dull with the same old maps straight from the disc. Remember Reach? Remember Invasion?
I also think us LE owners need some sort of “4th” map pack as a compensation
Thanks for the read!
never gunna happen…
the only thing I can really say now after defending 343 for so long, is that at least they tried

Yeah, well at least now I can actually see these maps show up on regular playlists… Unlike Reach… RIP Breakpoint Invasion
I was thinking this also, they couldn’t actually give it away for free because of the map pass but if they made it “accidental” then they could. The fact that the population is so incredibly low in this game could be a reason why this could have happened deliberately since it would possibly boost the population of the game (notice how I said “could” guys before you guys say anything >_>)
EDIT: If you look back at Halo 3 the first map pack (the heroic map pack) became free which could have been to boost the population also. Like I said they couldn’t actually give away this map pack because of the season pass, but they could “accidentally” put the map pack up for free for a day or more to boost population and interest
