Microsoft had tampered with the past halos so heavily that they might as well be the lead directors (which they technically are) but halo 5’s flawed development is because of them and the poor management of the game. Campaign rewrites… This isn’t completely 343s fault. It’s the poor management of 343 and Microsoft. Our stories are now being changed on the fly because of Microsoft order (similar to Bungie and activision in destiny).
Eventually the story and gameplay will be so broken halo won’t have anything left. We need to stop blaming 343 and we need to take into account that they are trying to make halo great. Microsoft and 343 Managment are dumbing down our halo experiences.
Microsoft is also the reason Halo’s been alive until this point. Who knows what path Apple would have taken it down.

this is a valid point. Microsoft is the publisher and while the do have a hand in the final design that is put out the actual development is completed by the DEVRELOPER who is the actual designed and creator of the game. so if you want to complain about something ruining the Halo games point the finger at the correct party. Also we have not finished the Reclaimer trilogy so we have yet to fully experience what it is that they are trying to provide via their story.

Microsoft was the only one to support the draft halo. If you have well exploited much to the point of living at the expense of that title . At the end are the fans who decide the fate of the franchise when we bought the title . Personally this campaign made me very boring , multiplayer is saved and I dare say that if 343 had not given the content , halo would have been history and microsoft would be in yellow numbers.
Personally next halo ( h6 ) must have a really exciting story. With publicity of word of mouth and not marketing . the content to their fans would catch if it were free again , but if the game itself is good, would agreed with the collection of dlc

En lo personal el proximo halo (h6) debera tener una historia realmente apasionante. Con una publicidad que se de de boca en boca y no de mercadotecnia. el contenido atraparia a sus fans si fuese gratis nuevamente, pero si el juego como tal es bueno, estaria de acordo con el cobro de los dlc.

I won’t deny that Microsoft probably had its hands in Halo 5’s development, but I feel putting too much blame on them when we have no real idea what they did removes 343’s own poor storytelling in Halo 5. Honestly, 343 in the past has shown they can make poor decisions without Microsoft needing to step in. As far as I’m concerned, LateNightGaming doesn’t have much credibility to me, especially after he claimed some random from -Yoink!- was legit as an ex-343 employee, since confirmed fake.

It has been said before that 343i is a bit of a mess but with halo 5 it was utter hell for them. They had a great idea to make halo great but after fan reaction to hunt the truth (you, the one with two stories) Microsoft forced 343i to change the script. 343i kept trying to do good things but Microsoft keeps -Yoinking!- them over just to make the game more marketable. This is the same thing that happened to halo 2. Funny how history likes to repeat itself
Also if it weren’t for Microsoft we wouldn’t have Halo AT ALL!!! Bungie was done with Halo. They lost interest and wanted to move on.

Early Concept pieces show the true development and story. It shows Halsey has a villain and cortana remained dead. MICROSOFT ORDERED HER BACK.

But this isn’t a trilogy… We so far have 1 story (halo 4) halo 5 did nothing to contribute to a trilogy because it in no way continued halo 4. It actually backtracked Chiefs humanity and he went back to the one line Bad***. Cmon, The reclaimer saga/trilogy isn’t connected apparently. Halo 4 should be seperste from halo 5 in terms of story.

Actually, the original Halo almost certainly would not have been released had Microsoft not purchased Bungie at the time and funded it. It’s been Microsoft’s IP since the beginning.
Halo 5 is my favorite game in the series. I think its doing fine.

Microsoft issued hunt the truth. Microsoft ordered MCC to (last minute) be on one disk. Microsoft ordered the return of Cortana (as shown from early concept art for Halsey as villain). Microsoft ISSUED THE MICROTRANSACTIONS FOR HEAVENS SAKE.
