I’m an Xbox live rewards member and recently received the November survey and to my surprise this survey was much different than the usual survey. The entire survey is comprised of questions regarding split screen; from questions of how much I use split screen in games, to which games I play split screen. From what I’m assuming Microsoft heard the backlash of the removal of split screen from halo 5 and now are trying to get numbers of much people use it. If your one of those people who complained about no split screen leading up to halo 5’s launch, I highly recommend you go and answer the survey because this is your chance to have your voice heard and make a difference. Also be mindful the survey might release at a later date for you because of different time zones so you might get last month’s survey.
Edit: For anyone wondering here is the official page for the Xbox live rewards program: http://rewards.xbox.com/
I don’t think you realize just how much it takes to implement splitscreen. And the reason they done this was more than likely to see how many games that they back can have this feature removed due to lack of use to improve other features.

I don’t think so, because it had fighting games in the survey which dose not require splitscreen because two people can play on one screen. If they truly wanted to find out if they can throw away split screen they would only have splitscreen games, but they also had couch coop games.

Splitscreen and games that place two or more players on the same screen is completely different and take different tolls on the hardware.
Don’t be surprised if more people then you think actually say they never use split-screen. I know a good 70% on my friends list didn’t care that it wasn’t in Halo 5 for they haven’t used it for over 10 years.
Still wonder why I bought 4 controller’s when the only game out of the 30 games I have for the Xbox that has split-screen is MCC and gears. But they are both remakes of 360 titles. All my none remakes have only 1 player local play
Just keep in mind that the function of the survey may actually be to gauge player reaction to removing split screen from all titles.
I think it unlikely that Microsoft would use a monthly survey to ascertain if it is worth attempting to retro-fit split-screen to Halo 5 or explicit code it into Halo 6.
As I said, I’m guessing they are fishing for data to work out if split-screen may be pulled from everything else, rather than if they should actively include it in Halo 6.
It’s like they couldn’t foresee the huge backlash with their decision to cut split-screen.
More proof that 343 is out of touch with the fanbase and just isn’t the right fit for the job.
They’ve had 6 years to figure it out and still haven’t. I really think the people calling the shots are incapable of understanding Halo and need to step down.

Hopefully not, though if it is and enough people actually say they use coop then they will hopefully continue supporting it in future games. There is still a big demand for split screen in games; look at the petition to bring back split screen for halo 5 , last time I checked it nearly had 10 000 signatures.

So you would rather have -Yoink- couch coop that only a minority of people will use over actual improvements such as graphics, resolution, FPS, physics, overall performance etc etc.

How do you know how many people use it? Oh wait, you don’t.
Im a rewards member and xbox ambassador and I received no such survey… probably because I don’t care for split screen, or that I lack an x1… anyway don’t surveys like those usually have some sort of NDA agreement to them?

Also, who says you can’t have both? Remember the MCC?
