Microsoft Interference with 343 Controversy

LateNightGaming - Halo news and Entertainment released many posts on Facebook and a video describing Microsoft’s interference with Halo 5. He makes claims that he has an ex 343 employee as a source. I cannot say whether its true or not and hopefully we get some solid evidence, but I say we don’t let this thing die down until we get a response, so go ahead and repost his posts or this one!

I kinda had feeling about this for a while. Regardless of the source…

I disagree with 343i developers on many things, but I do think there are a lot of people there that truly care about the Halo franchise, and are fans of the games themselves. They of course aren’t beyond criticism, but things like the state of the MCC and the REQ system don’t seem like choices that artists would make to make a better game, but rather decisions that would be made by greedy business men, Microsoft.

Why do people keep posting this nonsense?

Because we want to know the truth, and we want this to stop happening if it is. We also want everyone to know why Halo 5 wasnt what it was supposed to be.

That is exactly what i was gonna say. This is the 4th thread you have made that is on the first page. Why are you promoting this so much? What is your motive about this? Or are you just obsessed and trying to spread propaganda regardless of its true or false. 1 thread is enogh

Because people don’t like to do research and just parrot everything a popular youtuber says.

Stop what from happening? This guy has literally no credibility and there is zero reason to believe anything he says is true.

I see no reason for him to lie.

Is he even popular? It’s like he started a cult and they all just decided to post his videos and facebook everywhere.

He’s been making videos for a while, it’s not like this is some random youtuber with 6 subs making outrageous claims. I’ve been watching his videos for quite some time and he is a genuine Halo fan. I see absolutely no reason for him to lie, not to mention the things he brings up seem to make perfect sense. Now, just because LateNightGaming is telling the truth doesn’t mean that his “source” is, but again things seem to make too much sense and I trust that LateNightGaming would actually report on things from a credible source. I won’t believe 100% until there is actual proof, but as it stands now I’m willing to trust this.

I never said that he lied, only that people like to take his word for it instead of doing the research themselves to prove that he didn’t lie.

edit: This goes for LNG’s supposed “source” for this information as well.

Popular enough to make a -Yoink- ton of posts on Waypoint apparently.

It’s called confirmation bias.

Maybe it’s just him with a bunch of alts. OP’s clearly an alt.

Do you have evidence against his claims? (I know that violates the burden of proof, I’m just curious to see if you have something that goes against what he’s said)

If we can’t prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the “source” actually did work for 343, then why should we not take everything he says with a grain of salt?

I wish you the best of luck on this issue. I don’t want to get involved with this because clearly there will be many, many, many more posts about this. Make sure you make your posts legit and factual.

Doesn’t mean what I said doesn’t apply, though.

That word, you keep using it and I’m not quite sure you know what it means. Confirmation bias assumes that I already hold the belief that all of these things were true, when in reality I had not. Can I not make the inference that he is being truthful based on his past track record and reputation? Again, I will not believe something 100% without evidence but many factors are pointing to it being true.

I agree that we shouldn’t completely trust this source without evidence, but I’m not sure that we should completely ignore things or immediately disregard them simply because there is not 100%, absolute proof.
