> Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer confirmed Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will support Kinect in a GameSpot interview.“Core focus for us in our press briefing this year with Kinect actually came from two sides,” he said.
> “As a first-party, we believe Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse, even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration.”
Hmmm…
I think this is going to upset a few people.

What I expect them to do:
Offer Kinect gestural/voice support in Theatre mode.
What I’d like to see them do:
Prove that Kinect is a viable control method for core games.
As Microsoft’s flagship studio it’ll be interesting to see how they handle this. Do they go for the safe (lazy) option, or do they try and do something a bit special with it. Some may say this is a watershed moment for Kinect.
My online pal, Mr Baldy says that Halo Waypoint is the best site he has ever used, so much so that he has got himself a windows phone so he can keep himself up to date all the -Yoink- time!!
I could see if I want to activate armour lock, I’ll have to punch the floor. Or if there are voice commands…“JETPACK! AWAY!” or “ARMOUR LOCK! ACTIVATE!” and “STEALTH MODE ENGAGED!”, and if you want to sprint? Simply make panting noises. Drop shield? “DEPLOY DROP SHIELD!”. Obviously, Kinect in a multiplayer environment would NOT be suitable, for some common sense reasons. So campaign is left to be the only option. Then again, how would that work? It would be interesting to see how they actually do it, because in my opinion, it just won’t work out the same. I’ve never used Kinect, so I wouldn’t know to the full extent, but I would have a fair idea. Some games are just meant to be controller based. I’d never get used to it, since I’ve been using controllers for many, many years.

That has always been wrong with them.
I’m fine with Kinect support as long as I don’t have to use it. I definitely wouldn’t want Halo 4 to be concentrated to Kinect nor would I like Halo 5 or 6 to be.

Call me old-fashioned, call me narrow-minded, call me lazy, but I HATE if I have to move more than my fingers (or arms and feet when using a racing wheel) when playing video games!
If I want to dance I go out and dance and don’t hop around on a matt or in front of some stupid camera/motion sensor in my living room. If I want to do/play <<insert form of sport here>>, I go out and do/play it. And if I want to shoot people in their faces, I pick up a controller/joypad/mouse + keyboard where I aim and pull the trigger with my fingers while sitting on my couch or in front of my PC screen, and I don’t move around my arms standing in front of a stupid camera/motion sensor and yell, “BANG! BANG!”
If I had to guess what it’s gonna be used for I would say that they’re basically gonna put some kinect thing into the game to see if it works and how they can improve it and then they’re gonna have a bigger and better version with halo 4 similar to what bungie did with firefight in ODST because it seemed like they were testing it for reach.
