People cheat at the Olympics. People are going to cheat on Halo.

BLOPS2 has a better, revised, and new ranking system. Halo4 is sticking to the unpopular progression system for how long you play to make non-competitive players happy. And this credit idea, points to purchase (crap), needs to be stopped for any future Halo titles. That is for Forza Motorsports.
Bring Halo back to the old grassroots to what made it a great game. Change is welcome, but not to the elements that built this game from ground up.
I don’t care that others cheat. That is how they want to waste their life, then so be it. Maybe 343i could spend half the time instead of working on the Campaign and help Multiplayer have a player reset banhammer or make cheaters rank go visible only to themselves.

We both know the cheating exploits that Halo3 and Halo2 had with the 1-50. Don’t fool me.

The ranking system won’t matter, it doesn’t change the whoever sees first kills first gameplay that CoD has. (Or whoever has the better internet)
Even if there is no ranks in Halo 4 the better player will have a solid chance to kill his/her attacker if they get shot at first. The previous GAMEPLAY made the games successful not the ranking system.
I think that Im gonna be to busy with this progression system. 343 looks to really have taken it forward a bout 20 notches from reachs rather boring system.
I like the idea of having W/L as my ranking system. Its too bad people dont see that tho.
We’ll have to see what 343 has done as well with the true skill system and how it matches people up with each other. I hope they reveal that soon so we do know what were looking at in Infnity.

This is not the place to discuss in depth the BLOPS 2’s new system. It is revolutionary though, for once. And it is appealing to the competitive crowd, MLG and non MLG competitive.

You are not in a position to command anyone to do anything. 343i has not stated what their intentions are for a ranking system yet, so your rant is unfounded.
Also you may state that we should let the cheaters do what they want but that affects everyone and I’d rather have a system that is relatively cheat free and no rank then have a ranking system with tons of cheaters.
Why the obsession with having a number next to your GT so you can show off how good you are at a video game? I’m pretty sure I just answered my own question but the fact that people care about it so much is just sad. It always seems to be those whose life revolves around video games.
This is just the progression system. Frankie said that before Halo 4 is released they will announce a ranking system for the competitive players. Just wait, you’ll get what you want.

Look at it from their point Demonic. you have 100,000 casual/half competitive gamers vs 10,000 hardcore competitive want rank/MLG players…

I think that you forget MLG play list will most likely be making an appearance for those who want to play competitive and talk about the nasty things that you did to each others moms…
OH and to boot. I do not want cheaters in any form in the game I play. If Im one of the people who get on, on weekends only I want the best possible experience I can get and one game of cheaters can ruin it. Especially if they boot you offline

Are you telling me people don’t use this forum to command and suggest ideas? Get out.
The current system is cheat free, because nobody will being playing it in the long term. People will just quit out because who cares, there is no rank.

Oh it was tolerated in halo 3 and 2. They never did get rid of the host booters…Reach wasn’t so bad because there was noting to gain from it accept useless credits. I have to say as boring as reachs system was it kept the cheaters at bay to a point
