Microsoft, 343, we're being left out.

Hey, 343, Microsoft, or whoever is reading, I want to say something, something especially about us, the PC community. Now, we’ve got Halo 1 and 2 on PC right? I recall, Master Chief, saying in 2007 on Halo 2 Vista “sir, finishing this fight”. It’s been 6 years, 6 long years, and while I have personally been able to finish the fight (on the 360 in 2012), a HELL of a lot of people are waiting for the 3rd installment. So, why are you making us be left out, be forced to buy a 8 year old console for a 6 year old game? Instead, port it to the PC.

Why should it come to the PC? Well the recent Steam ‘fake’ or whatever it was piqued interests everywhere across hundreds - potentially hundreds of different websites, some small some massive. And you know what stood out?

Not a single person I saw was against it.

We understand that Microsoft wishes to keep their flagship game on their console but there’s a time where that becomes redundant - Halo 3 is six years old and the Xbox 360 is pretty damn close to being phased out - so why not Microsoft? Why not breathe life into one of your most successful franchises? Revive it, make money (which we know you all love) and get your fans interested again.

I doubt there are any significant numbers buying Xbox 360s any more just for Halo 3, and in fact if they did - they’d just buy it on Ebay. So why not do something great - and release it into a new world, a world where it’s made even more immortal that it currently is, a world where it never dies, even after thirteen years - the legend continues.

But, remember what happened with Halo 2 Vista? It’s dead, why? Because it’s not a good port. If you are going to ever consider this, porting it to the PC and all, then if you really want people not to shrug it off then you shouldn’t artificially lock it to an OS, and try and make it Halo: CE quality.

Alan Wake, Dark Souls and LA Noire were all astonishing successes on the PC - let’s obliterate that with Halo 3.

I agree. Really, -Yoink!- would make more money off it buy making a PC version. Right now anyone can go to a used game store and find a copy for $5. -Yoink!- could charge a PC port for $40 and make money off it, more then they are now.

I just don’t understand why they won’t. They care about money and this would be a massive money maker.

Halo 3 on PC is something the franchise needs. With Halo 2 servers going to be taken down, this could be the lifesaver for Halo on PC (other then Halo CE). Hopefully Microsoft considers this…

Halo 2 will never truly die though…I mean you can still TECHNICALLY play online. Same with Halo 3. It’s been too long for a port anyway. Let it go
