Microphone

I really wish there was a way that everyone had to use a microphone to play. I am sure a lot of the issues and losing is formed by lack of communication.

Well that’d be silly, people won’t want to buy a mic just for one game. I doubt it’d make a huge difference, people who don’t want to communicate now would just mute their mic and leave it to the side if they had to have one.

Personally I stopped using it because everyone else that had one turned out to he twelve year old squeakers who really, really like the N word.

A microphone comes with the xbox.

Communication is a key to Victory!

I really feel sorry for you b.

I’d rather everyone not have a mic because I don’t want to listen to people yelling because they died.

Maybe some of us already have mics, but prefer not to chit-chat with total strangers or be subjected to whatever stream-of-consciousness happens to spew forth during the “heat of battle” (I have little tolerance for profanity-laced rants from adolescents, and that applies to both chronological and emotional/intellectual ones.)

I may also be in party chat with my Spartan Company, and I believe party chat overrides in-game chat anyway. Sooo… yeah.

It’s a shame back in the days of halo 2-3 everyone used a mic now know one uses a mic it sucks :frowning:

No offense (well maybe some slightly intended) but I usually hate talking to immature, squeaking 12 year olds. And it is what I usually end up with when I play online.

But if I hear people who sound mature (doesn’t matter how old you may be) I’ll unmute my mic and talk.

agree, this game is really designed to be played with friends or at least with a group of player.

A -Yoink- one, xbox has been out a while now, those things don’t exactly have a huge amount of longevity for most people. Mine that came with the console lasted about 4 months.

Maybe you should take more care of it then? You sound a bit like my brother xbox headsets after his had them last 2 months if that bearing in mind his 22. My headset though will probably last me the xbox one life cycle because I actually take care if it don’t yank it about etc. You’d be surprised how long things can last if you actually take a bit of care.

You need to find a group of gamers. Halo shines with teamwork.

I always mute all if I find a lobby with mics ^^
EDIT
not everyone speaks english good or can even speak it, as example: I can write and understand it but I cant speak it very well ^^

I’ve noticed how no one seems to talk in H5. Practically everyone has a mic or a Kinect so you’d think the arena would be busy. Halo 2/3 always had a good atmosphere in the lobbies.

I think it’s interesting that everybody complains about “squeaky 12 year olds”, which is a valid complaint, but in my experience with Halo 5 I have yet to encounter anybody that doesn’t seem mature 20+. And I have other folks chatting in the majority of my matches.

Use a mic and always looking for people that use a mic (and strategy) to play warzone or arena!

I’d just leave my headset off and mute my mic, so I don’t see the difference in just letting me opt out of game chat.
When games start forcing people to do things they don’t want to, people start leaving.
Also, most randoms I’ve played with can’t call-out half as well as spartan chatter.
