anyone else have this problem? I was really excited to play with my friends on xbox live again but the microphone included with my console does not work. It seems almost as if it doesn’t plug in all the way but I’m not sure if its supposed to be like that. The mic just wont connect, capture sound or produce it.

My mic doesnt work as well. Going to the microsoft store to get a replacement.
Not too sure what is going on there. I just looked at my old headset (I do not use it, bought a better one) and it has the adapter part already included and just snaps in the controller…
A friend of mine had the same “problem” he just forced it a bit while wiggling it in until it clicked, it worked perfectly fine after that!
My mic is still in the Packaging inside the box.
I already have my old mic, my first Xbox One came with, and the Stereo Headset.
That’s just my 3rd back up now lol.
yep the mics that come with the xbone suck…mine was broken as well…and I’m still to cheap to replace it xD
I have the Halo 5 astros so I never even bothered to check if the headset worked… I’ll try it out later when I get home.
Ya, talk to Microsoft. I’m sure the will replace it.
mine broke from regular use within 3 months. too Poor to replace it. used my food money to buy Halo 5. Woo~~
I just use my turtle beach, idk why they gave us a worse headset than the stock Xbox One headset, that thing’s such high quality compared to this.

Those microphones were broken the moment they rolled off the assembly line.
Yeah just spend $50 to buy a headset you won’t regret it…plus it will sound 100x better.

Ive the same issue, people can hear me but I can barely hear a thing! I shouldnt have to buy another, not happy! I need to talk to/hear my fireteam!

dude thats dumb you just got it and its broken
Ok turns out mine wasnt broken, i had to change settings in my router as it was giving me moderate nat all of a sudden with the new console. Fixed (i could hear but not speak)
