Well I won’t pay 1 red cent for anything for Halo Infinite till we get Forge, Custom Game Browser, Custom Game Area and Desync gets fixed. I want to get some of the of the Halo Infinite goodies but not till stuff get fixed. ![]()
Peace!

What we really need is to move to one battle pass where you can get items for free at a slow rate but have the option for players to pay for either boosts (XP boosts, challenge swaps, etc.) If they want to get through the pass faster. That way you can get all items for free with there still being a strong incentive to pay for micro-transactions. Somehow 343 decided on using one of the worst battlepass systems I’ve ever seen. They need to address this issue ASAP.
Would make more sense to drop all/any battle pass system altogether.
I think a better system would be:
Bring back the ‘credit system’ like in Halo Reach…that way people can purchase items with ‘currency’ saved up from actually playing the game instead of blocking content to the premium pass
If people want to make progress faster then they could choose to ‘pay’ for specific items they want with tokens they bought with real money
Restricting a few armors to ‘challenges’ only.
This way it encourages people to spend, and it also encourages long term player base since at the moment the ‘Battle Pass’ is a deal breaker for a lot of us and means losing any potential purchases from long term gamers instead of just casual gamers.
As controversial it might be I think I would even be happy with a loot-box system and allow people to buy loot-boxes with premium currency. That way everyone would have access to all the armors in the game whilst still having a strong incentive to buy the micro-transactions. It might not be perfect but I personally think it would be leagues above the system they have. The only reason I suggested the system I suggested before is because it would require very little development on the side of 343 as it is based on the existing system but I can see why it might still suck.
Umm loot box system isn’t really a solution but more about replacing 1 problem with another one.
If I remember correctly Halo 5 had its currency system and was named ‘REQ point’ and that could be used to buy loot box’s.
What I’m basically suggesting is removing loot boxes and no battle passes at all then add a system similar to Halo Reach on the 360 where you can use whatever currency type of available…doesn’t matter on the ‘naming’.
Anyway was thinking:
I suggest this idea because at the moment I struggle to see the long term playability of the game without major changes. Plus adding loot boxes to this would just mean more work and more frustration plus with certain country’s trying to ban them…I wouldn’t suggest going anywhere near loot boxes.
I don’t mind spending the money on the things I like. ![]()
Yeah I would definitely rather have the Reach/BO1 system which was before it’s time.
If Halo Infinite had the
● - Reach System for CR with short to long term goals.
● - MCC Nameplate/Avatar System to lock down Ultra Rare to Legendary items.
● - Halo 5 Accommodations System to earn Mythic Cosmetic stuff.
If these systems were in Halo Infinite then it would have been perfect for everyone.
But unfortunately we didn’t get any of these which is why Halo Infinite is so boring with no tasks to complete but that horrible battle pass with repetitive same challenges that makes me not want to play the game. Which why I just buy the stuff I want. ![]()
100%, would you rather more ugly skins for your Spartan, that you can’t see, or several more maps, and modes to play with? I want more gameplay, forget the rest.
Microtransactions in Infinite are only in my face when I hit RB to scroll over to the store.
So not even once a month.
