I think there needs to be a generally accepted set of rules for what is cool and what is not when wearing a mic during games. As someone who normally plays on my own, I have run into some extremely good mic users and extremely annoying ones. Below I have listed some of my first suggestions if there was ever a list of rules:
For the love of all that is holy, if you don’t know how to set up your mic so I don’t have to hear you breathe the whole game, take it off and throw it away.
If you have a mic on, it should be used to help out your teammates.
I played with a guy the other day that was eating a plate of spaghetti or something and it sounded like he was slurping up noodles for 20 minutes. Pretty disgusting actually. lol
My question is how is he holding the controller and eating at the same time? lol

Using his face to eat and hands to play. Although I know that my TurtleBeach Stealth picks up different ambiances and it will wound like a fan or heavy breathing in the mic I generally have to mute the mic from the setting option because the control pad does not work with the new audio jack controllers.

Nah he was using his hands to eat and face to play duh. In seriousness op I’m with you I hate with when it sounds like someone is deepthroating their mics for a whole game not only is it annoying it also makes it really hard to hear enemies
Two days ago I played a game where someone had a fire alarm going off the entire Warzone match. Had to have been in the same room. He either didn’t care that we all heard the alarm for 20 minutes or didn’t care about the fire in the next room. Both are disconcerting ideas.

i wonder if we were playing in the same game! i swear i was on a team with that guy too.
On the flip side from making too much noise, I am almost as frustrated when I know my teammates have mics but I get NOTHING from them but the occasional -Yoink!- when they get killed (without a location or any other information of course).
last week I had a 10 year old kid on my team who started the game off with:
“OK HI YOUTUBE! so this is my first time playing Halo 5 and I know I’m gonna suck! by the way make sure and like my sister’s youtube page! I don’t even know if this is gonna record but im gonna talk anyways!”
guess what. he did suck. and also talked the whole time.

I eat left handed and moaned to Turtle about the fact XO Fours mic is only on the left, try using your left hand to eat drink and the mic gets in the way!
I told them it wouldn’t cost much to have the option to plug in either side like other headset do?
They sent a reply saying that having chatting to a few left handers about this and said they may consider adding a right side option when the redesign the 4’s

Crazy. I usually just hear squeekers yelling at their parents to give them more time to play.

the little kids who somehow are allowed to play a “teen” rated gamae and just cant shut up at all.
So annoying when most of the time in a game they run around doing totally random stuff and not focussing on objectives or enemies near them, all the time talking some nonsense over the mic
Back when I had a mic (dog broke it, long story), the only people I ever heard talking were annoying squeakers and -Yoink!- holes. Very few people with a mic these days use game chat, but those who do are usually not the kind of people you want to talk to.
Eaters and mic spammers are also a problem.
So, that being said-
No. 3- Don’t play your craptacular music into the mic. Your music sucks, no one likes it, and the quality is terrible. No one wants to hear what sounds like jackals screeching the entire match.
