mic only feature?

Maybe its just me but Im tired of the lone-wolf attitude in halo 4.this is just my option but why isn’t there a mic only feature in halo 4. what i mean by a mic only feature, is to only play with people who have mics. now i know what most people will think and that’s not fair. it will alienate players but hear me out first, lest say you bought your Xbox 360 on Craigslist at 80 bucks and then bought halo 4 at 54 bucks.then you still have to get Xbox live right? At this point if anyone who spends this much money cant buy a mic, that’s there fault isn’t it? why are company’s catering to people who are not willing to invest in the whole purpose of the game in the first place. the purpose of multiplier games is to communicate right? well this is just my 2 cents am i wrong ?

Sometimes people don’t want to reply to the trash talk that other players make.

You’re not wrong, but the only way it would be fair is if a mic was included with every Xbox purchase.

Having a mic was a big thing with Halo right up to the introduction of Party Chat. That made just one more reason not to learn everything you need to know to be good at the game. Now you can play Halo while having a conversation with 30 of your best friends. OK for you, not so for your teammates.

It would be better to disable Party Chat during a match and at least bring back Proximity Chat. That would help, in my opinion.

They used to have a search preferences, that did work, which consisted of things like connection and language but had a ‘chatty’ option which would be more likely to pair you with people with mics. Don’t they have this anymore?

People have told me that 343i has all the code that bungie did, but I think that was most likely proprietary code that Bungie will use in Destiny.

That is the only logical explanation, other than they just did not want it in.

I do use a mic when I play with my friends online. I mute most other because they talk crap, have annoying voices, or are just talking to their friends about what they did today. Plus being an older gamer I really don’t want to listen to kids use language I would have gotten my mouth smacked when I was their age.

I try to use call outs from time to time too but, most people don’t know what I am talking about.

To be honest i have quite bad language when playing games (i never swear in real life situations though)

So i often find myself swearing at random people, cursing lag, my teams lack of coordination - or pretty much just about blaming everything except my lack of skill.

So i have to unplug if no one else is talking because it turns to all swearing. But if team mates are calling out and working together i dont swear because i am not talking to myself then.
