Messed up Overall Arena KDA

When I first got Halo 5, the first things I jumped into were Grifball and Infection but I never knew they’d effect my overall kda. My KDA has been low for awhile now and I’ve slowly raised it, even though bad teammates doesn’t help sometimes. My point is, why did they link those gamemodes to the Arena KDA? I feel like they’re separate from the actual arena gametypes because in Grifball most people nowadays go in just to kill and not play, and the point of infection is to either die or survive rounds and most likely you will die unless you are a pro survivor. It’s not like slayer where every last shot counts, they’re more for fun than kda.

yeah this opens up a issue for players trying to raise KDA like myself like u mine was low when i first started the game crappy net me sucking etc (nets still bad lol) but sometimes kda shouldnt matter like grifball and infection infection is just used for the kill medals which are awesome and grifball is just pure chaos i love both game modes so why cant they be just be for fun with no KDA involved?

Unless you’re getting paid to play Halo, KDA doesn’t matter. Even if you are getting paid to play Halo, you likely have a KDA around 1 because of the intense competition at the pro level.

The long and the short, don’t think or worry about it. If you’ve got people in your life calling you out on your KDA in a game… well… ain’t nobody have time to put up wiith that. Don’t give them the time of day.

That’s true KDA does not matter because of how sweaty some people play also if u get a lucky win and kill streak at the start of playing halo 5 u would be able to come out with a high 6 or 7 KDA but hay my KDA is only 2.4 but I’m decent at the game and just remember KDA does not matter the only people who would care about KDA are little noob kids or Spartans.

Don’t worry about stats, it’s just numbers and a video game at the end of the day.

Yeah but stiil, kda should not be tracked in social arena. I may care a tad too much about my stats but that’s just me being a tryhard.

at the end of the day, kda is just a number and it does not represent how well you are. a high onyx near champ player can have a negative or a 1.0 kda depending on your play style. i do agree that kda should not count in social but is something you shouldn’t be worried about.

No, it does matter because there are people who do care about it. The reason why it shouldn’t be linked in social is because it can cause people to play differently like stat pad for example which can cause frustration for those affected by it.
