First of all, I just want to say congratulations no the stunning job you guys and gals have done with Halo 4. It’s turned out to be an amazing game with some stunning refinements and I look forward to continued play sessions.
I do have one issue that’s starting to get irritating though, and that’s the amount of online matches I’ve encountered where I end up on a team of quitters, eventually having to fend for myself against 4 other opposing players; and failing miserably in the process.
The problem seems to be that, unlike in Reach, there is simply no incentive to not quit out, or no system of punishment for those that do.
Reach offered credit bonuses for those that consistently and repeatedly finished games, despite annoying irritations such as the rest of the team quitting. It also punished those that continued to quit out and ruined the online experience.
I understand that there’s an instant drop in on game sessions now, and that’s fine and dandy when it works. But on the occasions it doesn’t, there’s no option except to constantly and consistently have, for lack of better phrasing, your -Yoink- handed to you over and over. Regardless of individual skill, the odds are hardly fair when it’s you vs 4 players, all of which have ordnance drop class weapons.
I sincerely hope something is done about this issue to prevent an otherwise brilliant experience being tarnished.
A loving Halo fan,
Mr. Edge xoxoxoxo
